She didn't know why he hated her so much. As far as she knew, she's done nothing to deserve such ire from him.
More than once, she's tried to turn his feelings towards her around, but it never worked. Eventually, she just learned to accept that he would hate her forever. She would just ignore him and go on about her life.
Or so she thought. It was going to be increasingly difficult to ignore the person her father decided to betroth her to without her permission.
