Ra village

The sky was a vibrant cerulean as an earthy fresh breeze swept through a small village in a valley at the base of a mountain. Cooling down a group of kids that were training in the fields just outside Ra village. They were separated into three small groups. Based on power rank but it mostly correlated with age. First ranked Warriors, Fledglings, and finally the weakest group the Worms. There wasn't any strict bylaws which made these groups divide in such a way. The truth of the matter was simple and easy to understand. Those with similar power levels trained with one another. They were all desperately trying to improve themselves. Only by working hard with like minded people that strove for greatness could you improve.

A bold dark bronze skinned man standing over six foot tall with broad bear sized shoulders to match his stone like dark complexion. His imposing figure displayed deep eyes, round nose and a square chiseled chin which complimented his seemingly dark imposing dissipation. He sat on a nearby stump carefully overseeing the younger generation train. He was a highly respected Level seven warrior. Who grew up in and was assigned to protect Ra village. "A warrior must always remember that his life doesn't belong to himself alone. With a responsibility and duty to protect his friends, family, and kingdom. One must know that the sacrifices that we are making today are ensuring the safety of our loved ones tomorrow. Thus we strive to excel and become high ranking warriors." he bellowed and all the kids in the field felt their blood boil with excitement as they looked to this warrior with worshipful gazes. To them this level seven warrior knight was akin to a god. Because to them his strength was an a different level.

While watching the kids train his eye kept drifting over to peer at a particular Worm. A beginner who usually start training at the age of six or seven years old. They usually have little to no ability and will train their bodies until a strand of chi could be detected. Chi is energy produced from the core of the body. This core is located just below the belly button. Novice children have established a small strain of chi energy. They will train to grow and utilize chi throughout their bodies. If they can use this energy freely they will officially have reach the threshold of being a level one warrior. There was a general order to training. Everything usually went smoothly with the kids progressing at a predictable rate. Yet, currently his attention was on a worm. A worm who actually was in the process of challenging the current strongest novice in a test of endurance on the wooden beams.

The sun was beaming down scorching hot rays of light. The direct heat added a layer of pressure to the atmosphere. A short stocky almond toned child who was maybe seven years old was challenging this tall 11 year old novice. This novice also happened to be half a step into the rank of level one warrior. The challenge was taking place on the 15 foot wooden beams. These long wooden beams were sanded smooth then char cured to protect then from the elements. Then they are stuck in the ground at irregular intervals. There were about 100 poles in a 500 foot rectangular space. The two boys participating in the challenge were clearly hot and uncomfortable. One boy was skinny and tale for an average 11 year old. He had long black locked hair, sharp eagle like eyes and a long pointed nose. He reminded everyone of a bird. The other child was short with a stocky and solid build. His face was round and chubby. He had a button nose with dimpled cheeks. Which complimented by his curly hair. Both boys were dripping with sweat. As beans size droplets continuously fall down from their faces as they endured. Both received support from they perspective groups, but the little worm was getting the most attention.

Everyone could clearly see a wisp of green light surrounding the older boy named Kinta (Ken Tah). But this wasn't surprising. What was surprising happened to be his little challenger. This was because this worm was able to match and exceed the endurance levels of a his power level. Originally this was a test of endurance had included all the novice and worms level trainees. However, surprisingly this worm level boy was competing equally with the strongest of the novice leveled youth. What everyone failed to notice were faint almost undetectable shimmers of red and gold flowing through this worm. This young boy was named Zekith. (Zec Eth)

"Keep it up Zekith!" A worm level girl shouted passionately. As she gave her support to the small boy.

"Kinta...You better not lose to a worm!" A boy from the novice level sneered. Obviously, he was looking down on the small boy. A few worms who were able to hear this boy. everyone that heard him had very dark expressions. "Well he was able to beat you." A worm blurted out. "But, you didn't!" That same novice boy responded in a heated tone. One could see how much importance this endurance test was becoming. Neither side wanted to lose.

At this time an elegant looking woman appeared on a nearby grassy hill. She was looking at the two boys battle it out in there test of endurance. A slight smile could be seen as her mouth curved upward. That level seven warrior noticed her and flash stepped. Within a few strides he was by her side. "Greetings Matriarch." he saluted then bowed.

"Krom, how is Zekith fairing?" She asked.

"As you can see, he's quite capable."

"The other boy is doing quite well as well." The matriarch's eyes and white streak of hair suddenly flared with a blueish glow. "Mmm... Send that one to the library after training. Have him speak to the Keeper there. She has an item I wish for the boy to have. As for Zekith have him come to the manor when training is completed today." When she was done speaking she turned and walked away.

"As you wish Matriarch." Krom saluted and bowed again returning to his tree stump with another flash step. Some of the youths that were training noticed the exchange between Krom and the matriarch.

"Did you see that you guys?!" A girl exclaimed.

"That was the Matriarch right?" Another girl excitedly exclaimed.

"She was watching us?!?" Someone else squealed.

"Yeah they say that she has been researching something for the past 20 years. So she rarely shows herself."

"But, she looked so young? Are you sure she's the same person your talking about?" Some questioned.

This exchange peaked everyone's interest. However, once Krom returned to his seat and acted as if nothing out of the ordinary head occurred. Shock was what these children felt. Because they understood the matriarch's personality. Her reserved nature was widely known and she only appeared when something major was about to occur. Thus, by her appearing today the kids automatically knew something important was about to happen. However, currently there was an endurance test still going on and everyone needed to support the two that were left.
