Chapter 45: Ch. 45: Namek Bound! (2)

"Are you feeling okay, Gohan? You sure you still want to go?" Chichi asked Gohan, whose was still holding back tears.

"What's wrong, guys? We need to get packed so that we can go!" Bulma called, peeking out from inside the ship. When they saw her, the guys started laughing again, the solemness of the last moments a lost dream.

"Are we gonna need spacesuits, too, Bulma?" Krillin finally managed to get himself together long enough to ask.

"Don't worry about it. Just get packed so that we can head out."

"Good thing, too. Gohan looks so cute with his spiffy new haircut and adorable little suit. Don't you think so, Gohan?" Chichi asked, "It's such a shame that Hanna refused to dress up, too."

More specifically, I'd threatened to blast out of the house and go live at my dojo until Chichi grew old and died if she even thought about dressing me up like that. She'd reluctantly backed off after that. Unfortunately for Gohan, he didn't have the same choice as me. Like a good sister, I'd made sure to get my laughs in, as well as pack a few extra training outfits for him in my bag, which I didn't allow anyone to check, since it contained some stuff from the Core.

Gohan didn't answer Chichi's question, opting to help his dad and the Ox King load our stuff into the ship instead while Chichi explained what every single useless thing that she packed for us was for.-

"Can we go now? This suit is heavy." Bulma interrupted my mom, thank god.

"Goodbye, everyone! We'll be back, soon." Gohan said goodbye to everyone as the door closed.

"Hey Bulma, I like your haircut." Krillin told her. She glanced over her shoulder as we boarded the ship.

"You don't have to butter me up with cheap compliments, Krillin."

"No, I mean it! By the way, Yamcha and Pigero were just talking to us from King Kai's place in otherworld. They're going to be training with him until we bring them back with the Dragon Balls. Yamcha said to tell you that he'll see you soon." Krillin told her, remembering.

"Seriously?! That idiot couldn't even talk to me himself after everything that I went through worrying about him!? When he gets back here, I swear to god..." Bulma went off at the idea that Yamcha had talked to everyone else but her while she'd been preparing things in the ship, but she calmed down pretty quickly, luckily.

"Where's the luggage compartment?" Gohan asked.

"Just leave your stuff down here. I don't think you'll be using the training area before we're settled in, anyways." Bulma told us, still annoyed. After saying her piece, she started climbing the ladder up to the second level, which held the kitchen, as well as the living areas. The interior of the ship really was a work of art. We'd turned the interior of the ship into a sort of subspace, where the laws of space were a bit contorted. As a result, the inside of the ship was far larger than the outside.

There was enough space for a private room for each of us, as well as a large living area, a kitchen, a dining room, a training area, and about half of the fourth floor was dedicated to the control area. Though the interior was much bigger than the ship that Goku had taken in the anime, the outside's dimensions were incredibly similar, and circular in shape.

The only difference that you'd actually see from the outside was in the fact that there was no Capsule Corp logo on our ship, but rather a small insignia of a ball, circled by a dragon, with the word Core written on it, though in actuality, the entire ship was pretty much indestructible, packed tightly with an inordinate amount of ki. Even if Lord Beerus decided to use his Destroyer's Ki (or Hakai) on it, the ship would still be able to take a pretty good beating before being completely destroyed. We didn't want to lose our hard work if the planet Namek exploded, after all.

"Hey, Piccolo, where's the rest of your stuff?" Gohan asked him.

"I didn't bring anything else." Piccolo answered curtly. He'd brought a small bag that probably only held a bottle of water or two. Honestly, he didn't really need anything else. The Namekian could materialize objects, and his species photosynthesized, after all.

...

Meanwhile, near the launch pad.

"Wait! I haven't given everyone a tour of the ship yet!" Dr. Brief shouted from outside the ship. Unfortunately, the interior if the ship was vacuum sealed and naturally soundproof, so nobody inside could hear him.

"I think Miss Bulma has it covered, Doctor." Mr. Robot told him respectfully.

"But what if she forgets to tell people about the coffeemaker?!" He wailed.

"I think they'll be fine." Mr. Robot tried to assure him.

"Until they need coffee, and they can't find the coffeemaker!"

"They'll be fine." Mr. Robot repeated.

...

"Alright, everyone. Get seated. We're blasting off." Bulma told them all.

"This ship really is amazing!" Krillin announced again, entering the cockpit behind Piccolo.

"5! 4!"

"Wait a second! I haven't made it to my seat yet!"

"Bulma! I'm still on the ladder!" Krillin shouted from the middle of the ladder between the living areas and the cockpit.

"3! 2!"

"Bulma! Waaait!" Krillin shouted again. Piccolo and I clicked the buckles, locking ourselves into our seats. Krillin and Gohan weren't so lucky.

"1! Blast off!" Bulma hit the ignition. The inertia of the ship almost forced Gohan to trip, since he hadn't gotten to his seat yet. He desperately grabbed the handle of his seat as the gravity seemed to increase. Krillin wasn't so lucky.

"Bang!!!" He fell right off the ladder, down below. None of us were able to check on him while the ship sped up.

"Krillin!" Gohan exclaimed, concerned.

"UHN!" Krillin shouted something unintelligible, weakly, from down below. At least he was alive.
