Chapter 9: Vegeta the prince of all Saiyans
After striking a pose that indicates defeat to himself Tendou decides to close in towards Vegeta to launch an attack.
"Slow," Vegeta said as he dodged Tendou's attack.
"Of course it is slow. It's not my full-speed attack." Tendou said as he launched another attack.
This time a punch landed on Vegeta's stomach.
"Bastard," Vegeta said as he attacked Tendou launching him flying towards the ground.
Smokes covered his entire body as Tendou was crushed into the ground.
Numerous small round ki blasts started to emerge from the smoke as they were launched towards Vegeta.
"Child's play," Vegeta said as he also launched numerous ki blasts to cancel out Tendou's attack.
"You are wide open," Tendou said as he appeared behind Vegeta amidst all of the chaos and tried to kick him from behind.
"Still too slow," Vegeta said as he caught Tendou's kick before it landed and threw him away.
"Now you are done for. Galick Gun." Vegeta said as he launched a purple beam attack at Tendou.
"Ryuseiken," Tendou yelled out as he launched a white beam attack to nullify Vegeta's attack.
"It looks like you have at least some basics for your confidence," Vegeta said while smiling.
Although from an outsider's perspective, both of them were fighting at an equal level. But in reality, both of them knew that there was a difference in strength between them.
"I thought you using a fake moon would have depleted some of your power which might allow me you match you in a fight but I guess I was wrong," Tendou said to Vegeta.
"It's not too late to join my side. Who knows you might be my next right-hand man since you are stronger than Nappa." Vegeta said to Tendou.
"Sorry. But I am already planning on becoming a true warrior and not some Lacky." Tendou said to Vegeta.
"Then be it. I will remember you as a fool who perished on his beloved planet." Vegeta said to Tendou.
"It seems like I have to put even more effort in," Tendou said as he looked at Vegeta.
"Ha." He then launched an air fist that hit Vegeta in the chest.
Vegeta disappeared from his sight.
Vegeta wanted to speed Bliz Tendou and get a hit on him.
"Here." Tenodu was able to track Vegeta's movements and blocked his attack.
"Take this," Tendou yelled out as he unleashed a powerful explosive wave from his body that pushed Vegeta back.
"Ryuseiken," Tendou said as he launched an energy beam at Vegeta immediately after that.
"Crap." Vegeta was unable to recover his aerial mobility in time and was hit by the beam.
"Is that all you got?" Vegeta said after tanking Tendou's attack.
Most of his armour was destroyed in the process when the beam hit him but Vegeta was not heavily injured.
But Tendou was a relief.
Because it seemed like Vegeta did take some damage from his attack after all.
Vegeta seems like he doesn't mind and is not impressed by Tendou's attack but Tendou knows that it was effective even if it is not that damaging.
At that time.
"I am sorry guys. If only I finished him off immediately we would not have to deal with this mess." Tien said to Krillin and the others.
"Don't worry. We have Piccolo fighting alongside us I am sure that everything is going to work out." Krillin said to Tien.
"I hope." Krillin continued.
"Masenko," Gohan said as he launched a powerful ki blast at Nappa using everything that he had but it seemed like it was not effective at all.
"Mr Piccolo it seems that our attacks are not even able to put a scratch on him," Gohan called out to Piccolo.
"Keep trying. I know you have a hidden power deep within you." Piccolo encouraged Gohan.
At that time Piccolo was using his giant form and was engaging in hand to have combat with Great Ape Nappa.
Piccolo was trying to prevent Nappa from going after Gohan and the others.
"I am ten times stronger than I was before. You and your friend's pitful attacks are not even making me itch. Just surrender and die. Who knows I might make your death quick and painless." Nappa said to Piccolo.
"Might? You aren't even able to make a simple promise like that. I guess being a lapdog comes with its restrictions." Piccolo taunted Nappa.
"You bastard." Nappa was enraged and tried to immediately finish off Piccolo by trying to choke him to death.
Piccolo was not strong enough to fully resist Nappa.
"Mr Piccolo," Gohan yelled out in concern.
He then used his full power and tackled Nappa to the ground. Causing Nappa to let go of the chokehold that he had Piccolo in.
Piccolo was getting beaten down by Nappa as Krillin, Chaiotzu and Tien tried to use everything they had to bring down Nappa from afar.
Even Gohan helping Piccolo was not good enough to turn the tides of the battle.
"I guess I have no choice. I have to use that attack." Tien said.
"That attack? You don't mean the tri beam right?" Krillin asked.
"Tien sama. Don't." Chaiotzu yelled out as he objected to Tien's words.
"But it might be our only hope. My Neo Tri beam was still not enough. And your Kamehameha and Chaiotzu's super-dondon ray was not even making a scratch on him. And I can tell that Piccolo and Gohan are near their limit." Tien explained.
"Wait. There is still a technique that I haven't tried yet." Krillin said to Tien.
"Huh?" Tien was confused.
"I was hoping to save that technique for the stronger one among the Saiyans but it seems like I have no other choice left," Krillin explained.
"Tien. Can you go and try to get Piccolo far away from the Saiyan? I don't want him to get caught up in my technique." Krillin said to Tien.
"Are you that confident in that technique of yours?" Tien questioned while smiling.
"I am not sure. There is a one per cent chance that my attack would take out the Saiyan but I have no other choice left." Krillin replied.
"I can't help it then. Let's go Chaiotzu we will have to help Piccolo get away from that monster." Tien said to Chaiotzu.
"Right," Chaiotzu replied.
