Chapter 1: CAC option gone Wrong
"You died." A faceless boy said as he looked at the floating blue notification panel that was directly in front of his face.
"From accidentally being hit by god's divine punishment while eating ice cream at the age of 16."
"But because of an unknown error, your access to either heaven, hell or the reincarnation cycle has been denied."
"So to compensate you, god has given you a new life in the world of Dragon Ball with the system that will give you powerful abilities."
The boy read what the notification bar had been displaying.
"You will also get the opportunity to customize the body that you will be reborn as and all the memories of your friends and family will be removed from your brain to help you settle into the new world."
"Woah. The world of dragon balls with a system that can grant me power." The boy said while smiling.
Although he had a decent family in his last life he was someone who had made a lot of mistakes through his life and always wanted a start over.
In his last life, he was an only child.
His mother and father were people that you could consider workaholics and only forced him to spend time alone at home studying instead of being in his life when he was growing up.
They were the types of parents who didn't want to come back home because they were annoyed by their own flesh and blood and didn't want to give any time of the day to their son.
He doesn't think that his parent owned him anything, however, he also doesn't mind if he has to cut them off from his life since he never had any special attachment to them.
He is thankful to them for feeding him and giving him shelter but that was it.
So his view on the new life that has been granted is something different compared to ordinary people who have a loving or somewhat bittersweet relationship with their families.
"And not only that I can also choose my own face and body type. Hey, wait a minute. If I can customize my new body however I want does that mean I can even become a Saiyan? No, maybe even an ancient Saiyan like the guy from the mobile game or maybe even the Legendary Super Saiyan." He said in joy.
He watched and read Dragon Ball as he had to spend most of his free time in his house as he had to guard the house while his parents were at work so he had a lot of knowledge of the series.
However, he was someone who could just be considered a casual fan who just enjoys the contents of the Dragon Ball anime, manga and games instead of a databook reading power scaling hardcore fan.
"Huh. What is this?" He said as white lights started to shine from his body.
It was a large non-transparent mirror-like interface that was around the same height as him floating directly in front of him.
It was a character customization screen.
"Name….. I think I should go with Tendou." He said.
He liked the fact that Goku was named after the sky so he chose the name Heaven for himself.
"Body type... a body type that is somewhat lean should be good."
"Eye colour…..My old blue one should do the trick."
"Race… finally. Time to become a legendary super saiyan." He said optimistically.
"Wait. Where is it?" But he couldn't find the option of becoming an ancient Saiyan, a Legendary Super Saiyan or even a hybrid Saiyan.
He wasn't even able to find the option to become a mid-class Saiyan let alone an option to become an elite Saiyan.
The only Saiyan option that he saw was just the regular old low-class Saiyan.
He also saw options of being human, android, Namekian and even an angel but he glossed over all of them as for him even the low-class Saiyan was a better option than those races.
"... well being a Saiyan was already a privilege I guess. And I already have a System so I should not be too greedy." He said.
However, deep down within him, he was disappointed.
"Time to choose my hair I guess," he said as he forwarded the option.
"Wait. What did it say?" He was shocked when he saw the text that was displayed directly in front of him.
It said [Because you chose the low-class, Saiyan option instead of Mid class Saiyan, High-class Saiyans, Elite Saiyans, Ancient Saiyan, Hybrid Saiyan, Legendary Super Saiyan or Trafflezied Saiyan all the customization options will be set to default.]
What the text was indicating is that all the different Siayan options that he wants to choose from are available in the race category.
However Not only did he choose the worst option out of all the available options for the Saiyan Race he also lost the option to customize his appearance to his liking.
"What the…." He wanted to curse out aloud but he refrained as he didn't want to get on the bad side of someone who gave him a second chance at life. He also didn't want to antagonize the system.
After all, if the system turns on him and doesn't help him become stronger he is not very sure that he could survive in the world of the dragon ball.

[Grid System has been blinded to your body.]
[Within ten seconds you will be sent to Earth during Age 761]
"Wait age 761. Isn't the year where Saiyan Saga take place?" Tendou panicked.
[10, 9, 8, 7, 6, ...]
"With 800 power level even with the system I am going to get cooked if I was sent to that year. Can't you send me a year earlier?" He pleaded.
[5, 4, 3, 2, 1.] However despite his pleas the countdown continued and when the final one was announced he lost consciousness and fell to the ground.

He opened his eyes and realized that he was lying on a grassy plane.
"Where am I?" He asked.
He was wearing a black short-sleeve T-shirt and black pants.
There was also a blue watch on his right wrist.
He looked around and realized that he was on a small island in the middle of the ocean.
[Grid System activated.]
Then he hears a voice from the watch that he was wearing.
"Huh." He was shocked.
"Did you just speak?" He asked.
[Don't worry. No one can hear what the system is saying apart from the user who is bonded to it.]
[The user also does not need to speak out loud to communicate with the system. Just thinking about what you want to convey to the system will suffice.]
"Fine. If you are a system can you explain what you can do exactly?" Tendou asked.
[Grid System (v 0.1) can provide the following functions.
Zenkai multiplier - x2
Can multiply the Zenkai boost that you received by two times. Zenkai boost is a power boost that a Saiyan gets when he engages in hardcore training, battle or near-death experience. The more you suffer the bigger the power boost will be.
Photographic Memory
Can allow you to recall everything that you have seen with your eyes or have heard about them through the system. The way this works is that the system will record everything the user sees or hears in the system database so that the user can access everything that he wants of his own will.]
"Wait. That's it?" Tendou questioned.
The power that the so-called system gave him was a little bit underwhelming.
The Zenkai multiplier seems good but two times the amount of a Zenkai that a Sayian receives doesn't seem much when transformations and power-ups can multiply one's power by tens of thousands.
And top of that to use that power efficiently it seems he has to suffer from life-threatening battles, hardcore training and even near-death experiences.
The photographic memory might as well be useless since it doesn't seem helpful in the combat that the world of Dragon Ball revolves around.
I don't remember the power levels of most Saiyan Saga characters but I am sure that both Goku and Vegeta have power levels that are over nine thousand compared to my 800. I don't even think it might be enough to take down Raditz if I remember correctly. Tendou was depressed.
He looked at the reflection of himself in a nearby river.
"We at least I can be called somewhat good-looking." He said as he sighed.
However, he didn't know that as he was wondering about how to continue his life in this new world with the help of an underwhelming system, a powerful threat was coming directly towards him at a very fast speed.
