Twenty days later, Flander, Zhao Wujin, and the teachers of Shrek Academy, especially Flander, arrived at the Great Soul Arena, with Flander's hands adorned with an exaggerated ten rings.
Any soul master could tell that these were no ordinary rings; they were valuable storage soul tools.
"How's it going?" Mu Chen asked.
"I made a fortune! Hahaha! Now I have an idea to upgrade Shrek Academy to a high-level soul master academy," Flander laughed heartily.
In the past month, for every match involving the Shrek Seven, Flander and the other teachers had placed bets on them to win, raking in substantial profits.
Not only the teachers of Shrek Academy, but the Shrek Eight had also become little millionaires.
"Let's go. It's time to prepare the items for our journey to the City of Slaughter," Mu Chen said casually.
However, before Mu Chen and the others could step out of the Great Soul Arena, they were blocked by seven or eight individuals.
"You…"
The leader, a middle-aged man dressed in luxurious attire, looked astonished as he scrutinized the group before him. "Are you all together?"
Ma Hongjun's temper flared, and he coldly replied, "What, are we not allowed to leave after winning some money?"
The middle-aged man's expression changed, and he quickly explained, "You've misunderstood. May I ask who is the leader among these seven?"
Flander, Zhao Wujin, and the others all turned to look at Mu Chen.
Mu Chen stepped forward and said, "That would be me."
**Ding!**
"Congratulations! You have triggered an F-level hidden task: Defeat the Royal Battle Team."
The middle-aged man stared at Mu Chen in shock, clearly not expecting such a young individual to be the leader. Still, he politely bowed and said, "Hello, esteemed leader. I am the person in charge of the Soto City Great Soul Arena. May we have a word? It won't take much of your time."
"Are you speaking on behalf of yourself or the Soto City Great Soul Arena?" the man asked.
"Speak," Mu Chen replied.
"Straightforward. On behalf of the Soto City Great Soul Arena, I hope these seven can participate in a team battle in the main arena," the middle-aged man said.
"That doesn't comply with the rules. According to the arena's regulations, only soul masters with Silver Soul Badges or higher can participate in the main arena, and they are all Iron Soul Badge holders," Mu Chen pointed out.
"You don't need to be so modest. With their fighting strength, they can easily obtain Silver Soul Badges. Even if they become Silver Soul masters a day earlier, it won't matter," the middle-aged man insisted.
"If that's the case, there's no need to rush," Mu Chen said lightly.
"Esteemed sir, let me be frank. I'm in a bit of a bind. Three days ago, a team of soul masters arrived here. They are all Silver Soul masters, seemingly hired by the nobles of Soto City. Those nobles have been placing heavy bets on them for two consecutive days," the middle-aged man explained.
"Heavy bets? How much?" Mu Chen inquired.
"An astronomical figure! They have won without a doubt, causing my arena to suffer significant losses. Soul masters of Silver Soul level typically have levels above forty. However, this team consists entirely of Soul Venerables. Due to the arena's rules, I can only pit a team of Soul Venerables against them. Unfortunately, even our arena's elite team was handily defeated. If this continues, it won't be long before my arena goes bankrupt," the middle-aged man said, his face filled with worry.
"Oh, so you want..." Mu Chen pondered, already suspecting the man's intentions.
"I hope the seven of them can form a team and battle that soul master team. Initially, I thought they wouldn't be able to cooperate, but I didn't expect them to be a team," the middle-aged man said with excitement.
"What's in it for us? If we help you fight, what can you offer us?" Mu Chen asked directly.
"If you agree to fight, Soto City will gladly offer each participant 50,000 gold soul coins as a reward. If you win, there will be additional generous rewards," the middle-aged man stated.
"Fifty thousand?"
"Fifty thousand?"
"Fifty thousand?"
Ma Hongjun, Oscar, and Tang San exclaimed in excitement.
"Yes, 50,000. If you win, the reward doubles," the middle-aged man elaborated with a generous spirit.
"Deal," Mu Chen agreed.
"Great! Let's get them ready!" the middle-aged man said happily.
"Who says I'm sending them onto the field?" Mu Chen's lips curled into a smirk. There was someone he needed to meet.
"If they're not going, then who?" the middle-aged man asked, bewildered.
"I am!" Mu Chen replied.
"You?" The middle-aged man nearly dropped his glasses in shock.
"Yes," Mu Chen nodded.
"You can't be serious!" the man questioned, still doubtful.
"Do you think I'm joking?" Mu Chen asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Esteemed leader, you might not know this yet, but the reason the Elite Team lost was due to the disparity in soul rings. The soul master team members all have optimal soul ring configurations," the middle-aged man warned.
"I'm aware," Mu Chen replied calmly.
Seeing the Soto City Great Soul Arena's head still looking skeptical, Ma Hongjun patted him on the shoulder and said, "Don't worry; Boss Mu's strength is such that he can take on ten people alone, no problem."
Mu Chen didn't elaborate further. He touched his ring-shaped soul tool, flicked his fingers, and produced a silver badge, tossing it to a young lady beside the middle-aged man. "Sign me up."
"Silver... Silver Soul Badge!"
"You... you're that young man from a few months ago?"
The young lady and the head of the Soto City Great Soul Arena looked at Mu Chen in shock.
"Did I make that much of an impression on you?" Mu Chen said with a smug grin, still keeping up the act.
Little did Mu Chen know, his remarkable feats had set a record at the Great Soul Arena, allowing him to upgrade from an Iron Soul Badge to a Silver Soul Badge in just a few days—a record no one could break within the soul master community.
