Chapter 2: Chapter 2 Spirit Awakening Ceremony
With Li Mei leading, Yun Ling and the other orphans followed her to the Spirit Hall.
Because everyone had a martial spirit, every year children would undergo spirit awakening. Therefore, Spirit Halls could be found everywhere on the Continent. Naturally, these were all only subsidiary halls, there was a distinct hierarchy.
However, Spirit City had the Spirit Temple, the Supreme Pontiff Palace and the Douluo Palace.
The highest position in Spirit Hall is the Supreme Pontiff. Even though the Supreme Pontiff holds a great deal of power, he/she still doesn't have the authority to truly make decisions. Spirit Hall's hidden Elder Palace is the true source of Spirit Hall's power, seven elder priests make up the Elder palace and should all seven priest elders agree, they could even depose the Supreme Pontiff.
There were already two people in the hall. Chrysanthemum Douluo, Yue Guan, and Ghost Douluo, Gui Mei. Their spirit fusion, Two Layer Immobilization Domain, is a dual attribute domain which has the capability to completely immobilize the opponent's attributes and movements.
"Line up. I'll be awakening everyone's spirits." Not including Yun Ling, there were four boys and three girls.
Li Mei summoned her martial spirit, a white rose. Her innate spirit power was only rank 3 so she could only cultivate to rank 30.
Six round pitch-black stones were arranged in the form of a hexagon. A girl stood inside the hexagon.
A layer of golden misty light released from the stones and rose. Every speck of the golden light came fluttering up from the black stones, further entering the body of the girl.
Two fluffy bunny ears appeared on the girl's head.
Yun Ling's eyes brightened. Fluffy rabbit ears!
"A Rabbit martial spirit. Come, let me test if you have spirit power." Li Mei held a sparkling blue crystal ball.
As soon as the girl placed her hand on the crystal ball, a dazzling light filled three fifths of the crystal.
"Innate spirit power rank 6. Congratulations."
"Knife. Spirit power rank 4."
"Cat. Spirit power rank 6."
"Dove. Spirit power rank 3."
"Xiao Ling, it's your turn." Yun Ling was the last child to awaken her spirit.
Unlike when the other children awakened their spirits, a dazzling golden light enveloped Yun Ling.
Above Yun Ling's right hand appeared a pure black spear inscribed with runes that shimmered with radiance distinctively.
"A spear!" Li Mei exclaimed.
It seems that her niece inherited her brother-in-law's martial spirit.
"Come test the innate spirit power." She excitedly held out the blue crystal ball.
When Yun Ling's hand touched the blue crystal ball, it shone a dazzling blue light starting from a point spread in a flash. In an eye blink, this crystal ball looked just like it was a resplendent gem.
"Innately full of spirit power." Li Mei's face flushed with excitement.
"Auntie, I feel like something's coming out from my left hand." Yun Ling's face was scrunched up slightly in discomfort.
"WHAT?!" Not only was Li Mei shocked, but also the two Titled Douluo standing by the side.
