Chapter 3: Child of Destiny

In the study room of the library, a boy suddenly woke up from his sleep, gasping for breath as if he had a nightmare.
Chen Zhong looked around, his eyes filled with confusion. He muttered, "I... I was reborn?!"
It was as if he had woken up from a dream. He grabbed his phone and checked the time—it was 5:30 PM on July 15, 2023, in the New Calendar!
Chen Zhong laughed heartily. He had really come back, completely ignoring the bewildered looks from his classmates.
Everything was still in time. He could start over again! In a few hours, the whole world would undergo a drastic change.
The T virus would mutate, the zombie virus would sweep the globe, and climate changes would turn most of the world into wilderness and deserts!
There would even be intersections between different spaces and worlds, with the tendrils of evil gods appearing in various corners of the world...
This was humanity's doom and apocalypse! The great catastrophe was coming!
By now, the zombie virus was likely already present....
In his previous life, Chen Zhong was one of the few lucky ones who survived. After enduring countless hardships and trials, he eventually awakened his abilities and became an evolver.

Chen Zhong looked at An Mian, feeling a warmth in his heart. An Mian could be considered his best friend in college.
Initially, Chen Zhong had a few friends, but after he had a falling out with Qin Jun over his girlfriend, those friends distanced themselves from him, fearing Qin Jun's background.
Only An Mian remained the same, never abandoning him. Moreover, An Mian's identity was quite significant; her father was An Feng, the head of Jiangjing City, a real power holder, a high-ranking governor with substantial authority.

Su Ya was his girlfriend. They had been together since high school and entered Jiangjing University together, becoming a well-known couple.
He loved her so much and thought they would eventually marry and grow old together....
But after Qin Jun appeared, Su Ya betrayed him within less than a month and became Qin Jun's woman!
What hurt Chen Zhong the most was that, despite treating Su Ya like a goddess and not even holding hands in their two-year relationship, she lost her virginity to Qin Jun within days of being with him!
This deeply hurt Chen Zhong and made him hate Qin Jun to the core....
In his previous life, this incident left Chen Zhong disoriented, and he even considered giving up and dying when the apocalypse arrived.
It was An Mian who always protected him, ultimately dying in a horde of zombies to save him. Thinking of this, Chen Zhong felt a renewed hatred for Qin Jun. An Mian's death was also partly Qin Jun's fault!
But fortunately, An Mian was still alive now!
