Daniel Peacock stood sideways outside the parlour, and after Grace Smith went upstairs, he turned his head to observe Cherish Turner, who emerged from the room like a wandering soul. Seeing her red-rimmed eyes, he spoke as she approached him, "It's just a soap opera, how could you take it so seriously?"

Cherish Turner paused, her long black hair concealing her cheeks.

Looking straight ahead with a soft, gloomy voice, she said, "The drama is fiction, but, I took it to heart."

Daniel Peacock's gaze immediately became serious. He adjusted his silver-framed glasses to dispel the dark cloud that had arisen. His handsome face turned severe as he looked at her calm and fair face, and asked in a casual tone, "It's a typhoon today, did he not reach out to you?"

Cherish Turner didn't want to interact with him anymore. She felt that such a conversation was neither meaningful nor necessary and would only exhaust her.

So, she took a step and continued on her way.
