By the time they left the pub close to midnight, everyone went their separate ways.

After leaving the pub, several people hailed taxis to leave. Knowing in advance that they would be drinking, they didn't drive themselves and left their cars at the company. Grace Harper drove back on her own, as she didn't want to be a third wheel for her sister-in-law and Edward Smith.

"Bye." Hailey Griffith waved her hand, and Edward Smith nodded at her.

After everyone left, Edward Smith casually wrapped his arm around Hailey Griffith and generously offered, "I'll take you home."

"That's very nice of you. I didn't expect to have a knight in shining armor." Hailey Griffith laughed, not bothering with any male-female formalities, acting so naturally.

They hailed a taxi and got in, one behind the other.

The car slowly moved forward, and Edward Smith glanced at Hailey Griffith, casually asking, "Where's your student boyfriend?"
