The moment Ruth Dawn exited through the front door of Nanth Mansion, a clamor resounded followed by a shout, "The Patriarch has arrived!"

"The Patriarch?"

"What do you mean the Patriarch? Isn't the Patriarch on the stage?"

"What's going on?"

The people were struck dumb, as they watched White Crane and his entourage storm into the main hall of Nanth Mansion.

Trailing behind White Crane was a large group of the former Patriarch's elders, who encircled him protectively.

"White Crane?"

"Isn't he the adopted son of the old Patriarch? What is he planning?"

"Interesting, the old Patriarch is dead. The next Patriarch is not his adopted son, but some unknown person!"

"Seems like we are in for a show today!"

Greatgranny Dawn murmured, "It looks like William Cole's position as Patriarch isn't that secure."

"I don't hope for him to become the Patriarch. I'd rather he be deposed." Rose Dawn said gravely.
