Chapter 43: Showdown PT 1

"Geez, doctor, get a grip. We're close."

Lucifer was behind the wheel. The time on the dashboard displayed 12:15. The streets were empty and the night sky was dull, revealing a small number of stars.

"Pardon me, Lucifer," Henry replied.

"I get that you're worried and all, but you're making it too obvious. We share the same body, that means I feel what you feel and I don't how tingly your emotions make me feel inside," Lucifer shook himself as if some nasty bug crawled on his skin.

"I'm afraid you're wrong, Lucifer," Henry countered.

Lucifer became dumbfounded.

"Excuse me?" He demanded.

"You said all of these emotions are mine but it doesn't seem to be the case."

Lucifer scoffed as he made a hard right.

"Now you're just talking trash, doctor."

"You said it yourself, Lucifer, you care about Lila just as I do. Maybe even more," Henry gave a long pause. "You wanted to rush to her rescue the moment you heard she was in danger even while I hesitated."
