Clara was lying on the bed, her body lying almost motionless as her breathing seemed to be quite obscure.

Evelynn's expression was solemn. Once Davis spoke, she turned to look at him, her lips quivering.

This made Davis's heart clench.

However, he saw that her quivering was more of suppressing a burst of laughter rather than suppressing sadness.

He confusedly inclined his head at her, waiting to hear her words, but suddenly-

"Brother… lift me up…"

Clara raised her hands, her eyes fluttering as she looked around. However, she narrowed her eyes at Davis, appearing confused, before she pulled her hands back.

"Eh… you're not brother. Brother, where are you?"

She extended her bottom lip out like a baby would as though she was going to cry, but soon, her eyelids appeared to be heavy before she closed her eyes, her expression turning normal slowly.
