Chapter 685: Dominating a Dragon

Now fully armed and aware of Maeda's variant dragon breath, OIi forced the tempo back out of her clutches. 

Oli stomped his foot and readied a heavy swing of his mace. At the same time, a small boulder popped out of the ground; perfectly lobbed into Oli's mighty swing.

Maeda didn't struggle to evade the attack.

However, she never expected a human cultivator to have such savage strength. The boulder flew much faster than Maeda had expected. And it was immediately followed by another. And another. 

Oli continued to hop step with each swing of his mace. That way, he could reload his next swing while also prepping each boulder. All in a steady rhythm. 

So, Maeda altered her approach as well. 

While boulders flew straight for her, fireballs laced with death essence were spat at Oli. 

They entered a tug-of-war for the battle's rhythm. And the speedy dragon held fast to her advantage from the air. Until eventually…
