Richie still hadn't caught his breath when the roof of the cavern fell inwards on him, the rocks started falling from the back of the cavern, but the roof was progressively falling closer and closer to Richie.
Richie had about two seconds to get the hell out of that cavern, and that he did, Richie dashed off into the tunnel behind him, he was once again running frantically without caring for the scratches and cuts he was sustaining.
Richie was extremely out of breath from all of that running, he remembered how long it took him to travel through this tunnel, he was running now but he still didn't think he had enough time to get out.
The tunnel was collapsing faster and faster, the rocks falling closer and closer towards him.
Richie spotted the place where he had previously removed the spirituality gem from the rocks. He was close to the exit.
After a few more seconds of desperate sprinting, Richie simply couldn't sprint anymore, he may be a cultivator but his stamina was not unlimited, he had been sprinting for around 10 minutes, it was almost impossible for a cultivator at the peak of the second realm to sprint for ten minutes with like 2 seconds of rest.
It was only due to his will to survive and his abnormally large qi core and extremely pure qi from his cultivation technique that he was able to keep sprinting for that long.
Richie slowed down to a run, this only made the collapsing rocks fall closer and closer to him, Richie could see the end of the tunnel, he sprinted once again, but he tripped.
Laying down on the floor, Richie finally gave up all hope, he had fallen, and with his injurys, he couldn't get up.
Milliseconds passed by as Richie felt death grip on to his soul, he couldn't give up, not yet, for his mother and his father, he had to survive.
The tunnel had already collapsed on his toes, his entire body would be swallowed up within milliseconds.
But then Richie seemed to enter a different realm, everything was barely moving, yet he could think properly.
At this rate, it would take minutes for him to be buried under the tunnel. Richie was extremely confused on what had just happened, his mind was working at a normal speed, yet his body, and everything around him was in super slow motion.
And what does an eleven year old boy with a system do when he can't figure somthing out? Ask his System of course
- what you are experiencing now is pre-death Adrenaline, when your body is exhausted and you are on the verge of death, the pre-death Adrenalin will kick in-
-Every single dead person has experienced pre-death Adrenaline, it's just that they were unable to survive their near death encounter-
-The Adrenaline rush only lasts for 2 seconds, as after 2 seconds, you will die from whatever triggered the adrenaline-
Richie understood now, the pre-death Adrenaline was basically your bodys life saving mechanism.
After pondering about his situation for about a second (real time) Richie finally came up with an idea.
" Fire missile "
As Richie used the fire missile battle technique on the floor, the Adrenaline he had seemed to have completely disappeared, it was replaced by a feeling of heavy lethargy.
Richie couldn't resist the lethargic feeling and quickly fell asleep, his now asleep body rag dolled out of the tunnel from the explosion, sustaining heavy injuries, if Richie didn't receive treatment in a couple of minutes, he would die either from blood loss or from the huge amounts of death energy stored up in his body.
Just after landing on the floor outside the tunnel, the exit of the tunnel was crushed by rocks, Richie had just barely survived.
- god Damnit, why couldn't he have just let me explore the place for like two days, none of this would have happened- The system thought.
Then out of Richie's mouth flew a golden wisp of light, thos was the system, the system shook for a while, but then golden energy poured out of utd body, into Richie.
Richie's injuries were healing rapidly and the death energy in his body was purified, but the system, however did not look so good.
The system had lost a lot of its luster and wasn't as gold as it was before. The system then flew back into Richie's mouth, hiding in his body somewhere.
- Great, now I have to use like 10,000 alchemy tokens to recover to the stage I was at before- the system said to itself.
However unbeknownst to both Richie and the system, someone was watching them.
***
In a brightly lit room that looked oddly like a bunker, a woman was looking at Richie through a computer like screen.
This woman had deep blue hair and was wearing a red garment, on it was a badge and on that badge was a diamond like star giving off multicolored lights.
" After looking at him for so long, I still can't figure out how he managed to get here" the woman said to herself as she sipped a tea like substance out of a very modern cup, made of insulated metal. You wouldn't find many people out there with knowledge of Insulation, in fact, nobody in the entirety of the Xinjiang Empire knew what insulation was.
It was a modern word.
The woman had set up a spatial sealing formation in the cave system Richie was in,
along with the other things that she owned.
This should have prevented anyone from teleporting in, yet it didn't, but this was good, from what she observed, Richie was extremely good at handling dangerous situations and had a very odd battle technique which seemed to keep everything more than one realm away from him.
This was her inheritance ground, it wasn't ready yet, but that didn't matter, Richie seemed like a promising candidate.
She was nearly done anyway, she decided to test this 'candidate' once more.
Richie however was still unconscious, he didn't have a clue about the misfortunes that were about to befall him.
