Chapter 3: Three
Jonah, Li Jing and senior Iris appeared at the doorway of the Bird realm, Li Jing looked around in awe like she couldn't believe she was actually there.
"After you Li Jing, it is straight ahead," Jonah gestured, after watching her for a moment. Li Jing looked at him and pointed and he nodded. As she began to walk, Jonah followed closely behind her watching her admiring the place. Senior Iris observing the surrounding area being on her guard.
"I know it needs a little maintenance but what do you think of the place?" Jonah asked, breaking the silence, "So what kind of name is Li jing? Aren't Cultivators names usually named after what they can do? I don't mean to pry, I'm just curious," Jonah added.
Suddenly, Li Jing stopped and turned around to face him. She wasn't sure what to say at first. It took her a while before she could come up with an adequate comment.
"You don't like it?" Jonah asked, reading her body language.
"No, I don't think that, it just needs some fresh flowers and fruit trees and it will look beautiful again. I mean that's why you brought me here isn't it," Li JIng spoke out, choosing her words wisely, "and to answer your other question my name means beauty and well established.
"Yes, you have a beautiful name and you're right, it is lacking in colour and the smell of fruit trees would be wonderful," Jonah agreed, "When are you going to start cultivating?" Jonah asked.
"Well I may as well start now, I have a lot of area to cover," Li Jing decided and began to prepare herself.
"Be careful Li Jing, you don't want to exhaust yourself," Senior sister Iris warned. Li Jing nodded.
"Ok, I shall leave you be, call for me if you need anything," Jonah said as he whisked swiftly away. Just before he disappeared he took a glance at Li Jing, he could sense great energy coming from her. He looked at her dubiously.
Li Jing spun around and he suddenly disappeared. She looked in the space where he stood suspiciously waiting but then a smile spread across her face. She levitated into the air, with each movement she made with her arms and hands, each one different to the next she had successfully cultivated various colourful flowers and a few fruit trees.
This attracted many eyes.
