Chapter 16: Chapter 16
It was Saturday, Mickey and I planned on spending time together. We've been so busy lately. He told me we were travelling out to spend more time alone and he has been so secretive and I don't know why. I tried ignoring it and focus on what is really important but I just can't get it out of my mind. I just wanna be part of everything he does. Is that too much to ask?

Mickey and I were going out for dinner with his parents. Yeah, I haven't mentioned anything about his parents. It might have skipped my mind. His dad name is Bernard Jackson I guess there is a lot of Jackson in this world. His wife name is Mrs savannah, Jackson. His dad is a well-known politician and the wife has her own hotel.
I dressed in my red short gown that doesn't show too much of my skin. Mickey wore his tuxedo, and we looked like a perfect couple. His bodyguard drove us to his parent house. We sat at the dining table where dinner was gonna be served. Some of Mickey's friends were around and his parents best friends. Mr and Mrs Walter.
"My son has really said a lot about you," Mrs Savannah said to me
"She is right my son talks a lot about you, beautiful," Mr Bernard said while he smiled at his son.
Dinner was ready so we were served. I don't know why I was so hungry all of a sudden.I was eating so wildly. Mickey stares at me giving me that "what the fuck look". Maybe it because I haven't eaten this morning.
" So Alyssa what do you do for a living?" She asked and I got choked on my food. I can't tell her what I do and if I was clearly right Mickey parents do not know about his job.. Well, that's a story on its own.
"I work at a book shop and I'm in my last year in high school. I will be graduating in a few months" I said
"Wow! So how did you meet my son and I know it is definitely not in a book shop. I can't even remember when my son opened a book" she chuckled slightly.
"Yes that's true I met him in Starbuck when I went to get some coffee and then I saw him"
"Great! Well, he made the right choice. How old her you Alyssa?" She asked
"Mum?" Mickey questioned
"I was only asking, son?"
"It okay Mickey there is nothing in what she just asked"
"So how old are you?"
I guess she was not letting go
"I'm 19 years old "
"You're really young and brave. My son,you're really lucky to have her. So how are your parent?"
" enough of the questions mum," Mickey said angrily.
"Alright if you say so"
The rest of the conversation was awkward after the brief encounter we had at the dinner table.
