Chapter 4: Chapter 4: Offer
After a few minutes of walking, Liz and Vanica reached the Village they lived from.
They suddenly halted.
There are 4 Black Vans that were parked in the middle of the road.
Vanica and Liz glanced at each other.
"Hey, Bes. Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Vanica asked and forced a smile.
"Yep. We're gonna die." Liz said out of fear.
"Hey don't say that. We are not going to die today. They will." Vanica, once again took her hammer out and raised her hammer above her shoulder, ready to swing it.
"Stick with me."
Vanica and Liz sneakily tried walking around the 4 Black Vans in front of her.
They thought that scene that is happening kinda same in the movies, where people get kidnapped.
Their eyes were fixed on the 4 Vans, waiting for someone to walk out and take them in.
As they're way half through from getting away, someone said something.
"Hey Liz! What are you doing?" The sound of a guy calling Liz out of nowhere, shook Liz and Vanica.
"Waaah!"
Vanica started swinging the hammer around in the direction in which they heard the voice.
"Woah! Woah! Chill, lady!" Carl said while dodging the hammer.
Liz heard the person's voice and looked at him.
"Carl!" Liz called happily and went to stopped Vanica.
"Carl?" Vanica heard Liz and looked at the person.
"Oh, Carl. Its you. I shouldn't have stop." She said coldly.
Carl squinted his eyes on her. "Vanica. Its you again." Carl turned to look at Liz and erased his poker face. He smiled at Liz.
"What's happening? Why did you scream like that? Is there something wrong?" Carl was curious and asked them series of questions.
Liz told Carl what happened and the reason of their violent reaction. Liz knew how trustworthy Carl is, that's why she also told him what happened earlier this day.
Carl frowned and said, "We should call the police. This is a serious situation. Let's tell your parents first."
"Yeah, he's right. We should." Vanica agreed.
Liz nodded as her agreement.
Carl took a peek on the windows of the 4 Black Vans but it seems they're unoccupied. No people are inside of the 4 Vans. The Vans were just abandoned in the middle of the road.
Carl then started leading Liz and Vanessa back home.
But when, Carl turned around, he hit someone.
"Oh I'm sorry... Sir..." Carl raised his head at the person he ran over to. The stranger wore a black suit and he wore black glasses. The height of this person is insane too. Carl felt intimidated. Carl only reached his chest. He took a step backward.
Carl gulped down.
Liz saw the person and grabbed Vanica's hand. Vanica knew that Liz was scared.
She had her face stern and looked at the man in front of them.
A figure appeared behind the tall stranger.
This person wore a Black hoodie and a face mask.
When Liz saw this person, her eyes widened in disbelief.
"It's him!" Liz shouted.
Vanica gritted her teeth and watched the stalker in front of her with anger.
"What do you want from us?" Vanica asked. There is a hint of anger in Vanica's voice.
"We only want her. If you don't want to get in trouble bring her to me." The hooded stalker pointed his finger towards Liz.
Liz's grip in Vanica's hand went tighter.
"We will not hand her over, you freak!" Vanica was infuriated by what the Weird stalker told them.
The Hooded Stalker looks calm and stared at Liz.
"If you don't surrender yourself to me, your friends will be in danger."
Liz gasped.
"No, please dont hurt them. Alright, I will go with you." Liz didn't hesitate and tried walking towards the stalker. She was afraid. She was afraid of her friends getting hurt. So she surrendered herself without going through violence. But Liz's mind were clouded with questions. 'What do they want from me? I dont understand what's happening!'
"Liz! Don't act recklessly. We still don't know what they're after. Besides, I can take this Shorty stalker of yours. He's not that tall. And he's skinny." Vanica mocked the Hooded stalker.
The stalker made tsk sound as a reaction to Vanica's mocking.
"Vanica, stop. I don't want you guys to get hurt." Liz said to Vanica.
"Bes! I really c-"
"Liz, no! I will protect you! I will not let you hand over yourself to that guy." Carl interrupted Vanica. He used his body to cover Liz from the sight of the stalker.
"I don't care what you're saying but we're not handing her to you that easily. You have to go through us first." Carl declared with a serious voice.
He was very sure of what he was doing. He is willing to sacrifice his life for Liz.
"It is settled then."
Vanica readied her hammer and Carl closed his palm into a fist.
The Hooded Stalker clapped his hand once. Vanica, Carl and Liz were puzzled.
"What's with that clap for?" The question popped in their mind.
And then, rattling sounds hissed from the bushes and trees. The three of them tried looking around them.
Tall, Muscly guys came out. There were 10 of them. They also were black suits like the one earlier. They all surrounded Liz, Vanica and Carl in circle.
"Please! I'm begging you don't hurt them. Have me instead! Please!" Liz tried begging the Hooded Stalker.
"Don't worry, Liz. I got this... Woah! They're hot! I think they're foreigners, Bes. Meow!" Vanica suddenly said confusing everyone.
"Seriously, Vanica? We are about to get attacked by these people and that's what your thinking about?" Carl scolded Vanica.
But Vanica didn't listen and moved towards to one of these Body-built guys.
"Hey, Handsome. You really have huge muscles right there. You are really hot. So, Do you have a Girlfriend? Here's my number if you don't have one... hehehehe...." Vanica flirted to one of the Hooded Stalker's body guards.
"What's your friend doing? Is she flirting with my men?" The Hooded Stalker asked with puzzling expression on his face.
"Oh, I'm sorry. She's just like that when she is interested with someone." Liz was embarrassed explaining it to the Stalker.
"She's that active? Well, tell her to stop!" The stalker was in disbelief.
"Alright, alright. Sorry." Liz called Vanica.
"Vanica!"
"Yes! I'm coming! Jeez... I'm trying to flirt here... Bye, Handsome. Call me." Vanica said while winking to the Person she's flinging with.
Carl and Liz gave her a look of disbelief.
"What?! Its just me, okay. Okay, let's get over with this. Let's continue everybody!" Vanica casually said.
The Hooded Stalker held his head, feeling annoyed of Vanica's action. 'What is wrong with this woman?' he asked inside his head.
"Alright, I'll give you one last chance. Give her to me!" The Stalker ordered.
"Lick my *ss! You B**ch!" Vanica was irritated and said those words.
"Don't say that I didn't gave you a chance. Get her!" The Stalker ordered his man to take Liz.
Vanica tried to stepped in front of them and tried swinging her hammer around.
"Okay! Okay! Come here! You want a piece of me? Then, get beat by my- Hey!" Vanica shouted when her hammer was easily snatched by one of the Guards.
Vanica just looked at the guys coming towards them.
"Okay, I know karate too. Hiyaaa!" Vanica threw a punch and hit the chest of one of the Body Guards.
"Ow! That hurts! Your chest is really hard... I love it!" Vanica joked.
Carl also tried punching one of the body Guards but failed to do so. The Body Guard just dodged his jab and pushed Carl back. Carl then stumbled hard on the ground.
"Stop! Please, I'll come with you. I promise! Guys, Please stop now!" Liz voiced out.
"If you come over here, we'll stop the assault." The Hooded Stalker simply stated his condition.
Liz without thinking of anything other than the safety of her friends, ran towards the Stalker.
When she reached the stalker, she said, "Keep your promise. Let them go."
"Good. Stop! Let them walk home safely." The Stalker ordered.
"Come with me." The stalked turned his back on Liz and tried walking away.
Liz squinted her eyes and found this as a chance.
She swiftly pulled the Cover on the head of the stalker and also pulled his mask off.
The Stalker was surprised by what Liz did. He thought that Liz couldn't fight at all. He was left off guard.
Liz's and her friends were acting this whole time too.
"Got you!" Vanica yelled.
"Don't let your guard down just because I'm a woman. People can act, you know." From being an Innocent, kind and scared lady, she then turned into cunning woman who can actually defend herself in this kind of situation.
Liz kicked his legs that made him dropped on the ground.
Her moves were smooth.
After all, its the perks of having many Boys in their bloodline. And most of them, learned many kinds self defense arts and Martial arts.
As the only and First Girl in their bloodline, Liz was treasured the most. They taught her different kinds of self defense skills and they also taught her how to fight. They also knew how beautiful Liz is and they taught her that to fight back if she is taken advantage of.
"What a girl you are indeed!" The stalker laughed.
Liz glared at her Stalker.
She kicked his body slowly making him face upward.
Liz saw his face and she couldn't believe what she saw. She knew who this person is.
"Jacob McKelly!"
Indeed. The truth was revealed. Her stalker was the actor that Chris will be working with, Jacob McKelly.
The weird thing is... that Jacob and Liz looked alike.
They're like twins.
"Liz... that person... you two look almost exactly the same." Vanica couldn't believe what she saw. Both of her and Carl were in utter shock.
"Liz! Watch out!" Carl warned Liz.
Liz could see at the corner of her eyes that a Body Guard is sneaking behind her.
"Move again or I'll snap his neck." She coldly said making everyone shiver.
Even Vanica were scared.
"You don't get to see this side of Liz everyday." Vanica commented.
Jacob signed to his Guard to back up.
"What do you want from me?" Liz asked in a serious tone.
"I will tell you if you stop pinning me. We can talk nicely." Jacob offered.
Liz didn't say anything and put more force on her foot.
The point of her sandal slowly digging into Jacob's chest.
"Arghhh! Alright, Alright! I'll tell you!" Jacob screeched in pain. Liz stopped and listened .
"I want you to be me." Jacob simply stated his purpose in front of Liz. Liz just stared at him for a while.
"What? What do you mean?" Liz frowned even more and started to apply more force on her foot.
"Arghh! I want you be an Imposter! I want you to act like me." Jacob started spitting it out.
Liz wasn't satisfied. She needs more answer. But she thought, she'll never get the answer she's seeking if they don't talk properly. She also knew Jacob is saving some answers. It's like he's afraid of spitting it all out.
Liz sighed. She took her foot off atop on Jacob's chest.
Jacob breathed heavily. He grabbed his chest and gasped for air.
Liz pulled his collar and made him stand up.
"I know you're hiding more. I want you to tell it to me now." Liz doesn't look patient. She's really eager to know Jacob's intention.
Also, How can a Celebrity appear on this place, kidnapping a random person like Liz?
"I will tell you but first..."
Bogsh! Bogsh!
Sound of something dropped echoed on the empty road.
Vanica and Carl dropped on the ground and fainted. A Woman in Black formal suit carefully and slowly walked forward.
When Liz saw this, she got furious and wanted to punch Jacob in the face.
"You A-" Liz was ready to punch him but she abruptly stop when Jacob said something.
"They're fine! She just made them sleep. I don't want anyone, other than my guards to know what's my purpose with you. We can talk professionally and privately." Jacob persuaded Liz.
Liz found out that he wasn't lying. She could tell from looking at Jacob and the situation.
Liz only gave him a cold stare and rest easy for a bit.
"Let's get them home first. People might saw us too." Jacob suggested calmly.
The Guards carefully and professionally brought Liz's friends back home without anyone noticing them. Not even a family member knew that Vanica and Carl were carried back to their respective rooms in their own houses.
Liz now understood that Jacob didn't mean her harm or her friends. He just want to make a deal with her.
In the Van, Jacob and Liz were sitting opposite to each other. They were sitting face-to -face.
"I want to give you an offer. I know you still haven't got accepted from a Job, right? Because you're a fresh graduate. A good student too. You have done so many good things in your school days, especially in the Acting class." When Jacob emphasize what he said last, Liz's interest piqued.
"You want me to become you, am I correct?" Liz asked.
"Or to be exact, To become an Imposter, a Con Artist." Jacob smiled.
