On New Year's Eve in the 1980s, an exterior view of a massive bungalow...
The old gothic bungalow of Liquor King William Frederick on the outskirts of town is preparing to host a New Year's Eve party for the city's most important people, including the City Police Commissioner, The Mayor, the IG of police, the city's most popular surgeon, Superstar Chris , the current heartthrob of the town, actress Angela, and some other important businessmen of the town.
He has brought in the most important people of the city to celebrate the new year as well as declare his entry into active politics.
All these people were waiting for something even more important and the most notorious person of them all, Mr. Wilson Fisk, an underworld kingpin and smuggler who on the outside is just a gold merchant .
He arrives at the party along with the excise minister of the state, Mr. Thomas Mathew. The hero of the story, officer Alex Howlet, who is one of the most intelligent and smart officers in the force, also arrives at the party on escort duty for the minister as a punishment for his actions in a previous case assigned to him.
He is visibly frustrated at doing such a lowly regarded job and is not enjoying the shady party. He is invited to the party by the host, but he refuses and decides to kill time by sleeping in the police vehicle.
At the stroke of midnight, the music gets louder and the entire bungalow gets ready to welcome the new decade by turning off the lights, saying cheers, hooting and kissing in the candlelight.
Alex's sleep is disturbed by the noise from inside. The lights come on in the building, and as the lights of the building are turned on, we hear the loud scream of a servant. The music stops and everyone is terrified. Underworld Don Mr. Wilson Fisk was lying in a pool of his own blood on the sofa set in the center hall, stabbed to death. Already terrified by the sight of a dead body, the guests soon realized that there was a murderer among them.
The minister, who fears that his presence at the murder site of an underworld don could prove to be a weapon in the hands of the opposition as the assembly elections were nearby, asks the commissioner to do something to solve the issue.
Since the murder happened and the corpse was right in front of some 25 people, there was no point in trying to bury the crime, so the only way to save the face of the minister is to find the culprit before dawn so that the dawn breaks with the news of the murder at the bungalow as well as with the name of the murderer.
For that, the commissioner summons his best officer, Alex, to the crime scene.
