When Samiel emerged from Shekansha's room, it was late in the morning. His lips stretched into a smile of satisfaction as he remembered the sensations he experienced. He could still feel her poison in his veins, and it was glorious.
However, his mind turned to Govad and his hasty departure.
He went downstairs and found Abaddon and Aisling in the garden. Aisling was standing still in front of the tree at the centre of the mansion. She looked like she was frozen since she did not move a single muscle.
Abaddon was looking at her with eyes brimming with love and a hint of worry.
When he noticed Samiel, he held up a hand, indicating for him to stop. He did not want Samiel to disrupt Aisling when she was in a trance. Abaddon was not sure how Aisling worked her magic, but he knew her mind was involved.
A disruption might harm her or make her process less effective.
