Chapter 246: My Life Has Been Dry

Before the two could be charged with any crime, the chauffeur arrived in a sleek black van that looked like the type of vehicle celebrities frequented. Kaden carried Lina to the car, despite her protest that she could walk and her red bottoms were left lying on the street. With great objection, Lina was placed into the car with Kaden beside her. He slammed the door shut and told the chauffeur to drive.

Lina let out a groan, sitting back in her seat with a glare that radiated hatred. She climbed over Kaden's lap and towards the window, where she saw her red bottomed heels getting further with each passing second. She hoped the next person that found them would put the free shoes to good use. They were a limited edition.

"They're just shoes," Kaden said, glancing at her.
