Chapter 46: Dear Adam: Just Missing

"In the clouds, I saw a glimpse of him," Khadijah muttered to herself. "Memories are with you, but I want us to meet until we get to the contract. Let my prayers be the way God takes care of you, so that God will make me a rib. O Adam, I really miss every second that rolls."

Khadijah looked up at the sky, as if the clouds were forming the outline of Rumi's face. The man she always chanted in every prostration.

Memories of last night made Khadijah actually smile to herself. She still remembers about the song that was sung by Rumi. It was beautiful and serene to decorate the night.

Flashback On

Remembering last night together,

"Ahem, your voice is really good, Mas," said Khadijah.

"Yeah, just a hobby, Jah."

"But, I swear it's really cool! Then how come I just heard that song?" Khadija narrowed her eyes.

Rumi just grimaced at Khadijah that night, a gaze so calming as if it made the scent of hidden heaven.

"Why are you looking at me like that, sir?"
