Chapter 15: Attack On S.H.I.E.L.D Headquarters
Seeing this fireball Nick Fury instructed all of his agents to calculate it's distance and time it will take to hit their headquarters.
After getting the instruction of Nick Fury all the agents began to monitor the fireball. The agents used the satellite footage and cctv footage to analyze the fireball.
Then all the agents began using their advanced software technologies to and after doing all of their calculation works they all gave their assumed results to Nick Fury.
Agent: "Director we have calculated the speed and movement of the fireball and according this calculations the fireball will hit our headquarters in the next one minute and it's trajectory shows that it will likely hit the east side of the headquarters."
Nick Fury: "One minute. And it will hit the east side. Okay all the agents I want all of our force fields and defense mechanisms to be ready in full powers. I want all the power source of the headquarters to used in the defense mechanisms."
All Agents: "Yes Director."
After getting this order from Nick Fury all of the S.H.I.E.L.D agents began to work on their computer to power up their defensive mechanisms.
Agent #1: "Powering up the gun systems. Checked. Power of the gun systems increasing ten percent, twenty percent, thirty percent, fourty percent, fifty, sixty... one hundred percent. Gun systems all powered up and ready."
Agent #2: "Powering up the missile systems. Checked. Powering up missile systems ten percent, twenty percent, thirty percent, fourty percent, fifty percent... one hundred percent. Missile systems online and ready take down the fireball."
Agent #3: "Powering up the energy force fields. Checked. Powering up the force fields with max output energy. Force fields coming online in five, four, three, two, one. Force fields online and ready."
Maria Hill: "Director we are ready with all of our defensive mechanisms."
Nick Fury: "Great. So let the countdown begin for the impending impact of the fireball. Let us show this new enemy of ours what we can do and what we are made of."
All Agents: "Yes Director."
After saying this one agent began the countdown on the big screen with the live video feed of the fireball coming towards the S.H.I.E.L.D headquarters.
AI Voice: "The time remaing for the impending hit, thirty seconds... twenty five seconds... twenty seconds... fifteen seconds... ten seconds... five seconds..."
Meanwhile the fireball has now reached very close to the S.H.I.E.L.D headquarters. When the fireball came closer to the headquarters the missile systems first sensed it.
After sensing the incoming fireball the missile systems launched a total number of fourty missiles on to the fireball.
Nick Fury, Maria Hill and all the other agents are watching the missiles going straight towards the fireball.
They all are seeing this on the big screen. And then all the missiles began to hit the fireball one by one and all the agents saw a massive balst of fire on the screen.
All fourty missiles hit the fireball directly but the fireball didn't have a single effect on it and it began to move towards the S.H.I.E.L.D headquarters.
Seeing this the mouths of all the agents got opened wide and after the failure of the firstine of defense, the second line of defense the gun systems Begam to open fire on the fireball.
But the bullets of the gun systems also didn't had any impact on the fireball. And isn't it obvious that the one which had no impact on it from fourty missiles will not get any impact from small bullets.
And with this the second line of defense also crumbled down in front of the fireball and now the only hope for all of them is the third and final line of defense the force fields.
And soon the the fireball came in contact with the force fields which has been deployed to stop the fireball.
All the S.H.I.E.L.D agents, Nick Fury and Maria Hill are watching this contact made by the fireball and the force fields without blinking their eyes.
Meanwhile the force fields began to stop the fireball and soon electric charges began to come out of the force fields and began to hit the fireball.
And soon a big explosion occurred which made the entire big screen dark and seeing this the agents began to cheer loudly.
All Agents: "Yeah... we did it. The fireball stopped."
With all the agents Maria Hill also gave a little smirk with what they have seen on the screen but in thst entire big room only one was very unsure about this all situation.
And that man is Nick Fury who has no expression on his face and he is just looking at the big screen continuously.
And it was not just Nick Fury who is seeing all of this but the devil who is standing far away from them on a rooftop also seeing of this.
Then he just shaked his head a little and then he just blew a little air from his mouth which began to travel towards the S.H.I.E.L.D headquarters.
And soon the small air began to take the form of a big gust of wind and it just flied towards the S.H.I.E.L.D headquarters without hitting the ground.
Soon the bug gust of wind reached the near the S.H.I.E.L.D headquarters and then it moved towards the point of explosion.
And soon the big gust of wind hit the large amount of smoke which had made everything dark to see anything clearly.
Then just as the smoke got cleared and the visuals became normal again and the thing which now showed in front of them made everyone shocked.
The agents who were happy and enjoying their small victory a few moments ago have their eyes and mouth wide open from shock due to the thing which they have seen in front of them.
They all saw that the fireball is still the air without a small damage to it and their force fields which they have thought to be more powerful, strong and durable to withstand any kind of attack have gone down destroyed easily just like playing cards are blown away by a very small blow of wind.
This made each and every agent shiver in fear and Nick Fury also felt drops of sweat on his forehead forming automatically in a chilled air conditioned room.
This made him realize the fear in his heart for the first time which he never thought would experience.
Then the devil just stood in his position on the rooftop of a house and then he just muttered, "GO."
With this small word the fireball began to move and after just two seconds it's movement,
"BOOOOOMMMMMMMMM..."
The fireball hit the east side of the S.H.I.E.L.D headquarters which resulted in a huge explosion which impacted the entire S.H.I.E.L.D headquarters.
Because the explosion wiped out the entire east part of S.H.I.E.L.D headquarters and the remaining three parts that is west, north and south parts also got the impact of this explosion.
Half half part of these three parts also got destroyed in this explosion and with this the entire room and other remaing parts began to glow in red color with an AI voice giving out danger warnings.
AI Voice: "ALERT! ALERT! The headquarters has been critically damaged. Multiple people have died in the explosion. Many equipments have also been destroyed. The headquarters has been damaged severely. Warning all Agents are advised to leave the headquarters immediately. Rescue teams are on the way."
Hearing these warnings and seeing all the destructions that has happened to the S.H.I.E.L.D headquarters Nick Fury became more enraged with this situation and then he told his agents.
Nick Fury: "Everyone get out of this place right now. The time has come for us to board our flying castle. Check the conditions of the helicarriers and move out of here immediately."
All Agents: "Yes Director."
After receiving the orders of Nick Fury all agents began to move out of that room with Nick Fury following behind them.
While going towards the hellicarriers they all witnessed the mass destruction of the headquarters which just leave them with a horror.
Then they all went to check the east part of the headquarters for the damages that have caused there.
After reaching at the east part all the agents got a bigger horror of their lives because all the buildings of the east oart has been turned into ashes and there was not rumbles of the buildings.
And more importantly in place of the building the ground where the buildings stood has been burnt and in place of the buildings the face of the devil is drawn on the ground with red color and a message is also present there below the face of the devil.
The language in which the message is written is not something that Nick Fury and his agents have seen before. And this gave them a real shock of horror.
While all of the agents of the S.H.I.E.L.D got this horror began running down in hearts, the devil who was seeing all of this muttered something.
The Unknown: "My first message has been delivered to the humans and now the time has come to send my second message to those little sorcerers."
