Metropolis.
The city was bustling and loud, but on the outskirts, the military base had experienced a nuclear explosion. The shockwave sent wooden houses flying, shattering windows.
As the shockwave traveled from a distance into the busy center of Metropolis, it left nothing but the gentle ruffling of people's hair and hats.
However, the horrifying mushroom cloud and the massive fireball rising from the distant horizon sent shivers of fear through the citizens.
The numerous administrative and military high-ranking officials of Metropolis, who had already perished, left the once-mighty city in a state of turmoil and chaos, without any semblance of order.
The streets were filled with traffic, people packed their vehicles with their belongings, including furniture and essential items, all eager to escape Metropolis.
Stores and shop windows had been emptied by looters, and the national flag was burning in the square. Lawless individuals celebrated their newfound freedom.
LexCorp Tower.
Lex Luthor, a billionaire, business tycoon, philanthropist, inventor, and politician, who loved to employ strategic thinking to gain profits, power, and influence. He was a human supremacist and believed that Superman weakened human potential, which is why he aimed to eliminate him.
He was Superman's most formidable adversary, knowing every one of Superman's weaknesses. At this moment, Lex Luthor, dressed in a white custom-made suit, looked troubled. He stepped into the elevator leading to his underground laboratory.
Just moments ago, everything he had done had been in vain.
Through the long-standing political connections built by LexCorp, he had been negotiating with the political elite to become the commander of Earth's Defense Force. He had the knowledge of all of Superman's vulnerabilities and had even prepared a Kryptonite virus to neutralize him.
But in a mere ten minutes, all of the political connections he had cultivated in the national council were dead. His nation had been erased, and no one dared to mention its name because His Majesty from Krypton didn't like it.
Lex Luthor was in a terrible mood, tempted to sweep everything off his desk, to scream and shoot anyone who came near him.
He had seen General Sam Lane, who was on the same side as him against Superman, die right in front of him. They had been discussing their future plans as commanders of Earth's Defense Force.
He watched as Kryptonian soldiers flew high in the sky, their eyes blazing red, and their heat vision killed General Sam Lane before departing, completely ignoring him.
Because he was not yet the commander of Earth's Defense Force, he was not considered a political or military high-ranking official of his country, and he was not included in the list of targets for elimination.
That's how he survived.
He, who had not yet become part of the Earth's Defense Force, could be said to have survived by luck alone. However, it filled Lex Luthor with an unbearable sense of humiliation and insult.
The elevator descended slowly to a depth of 500 meters underground, surrounded by coatings containing lead.
The coatings that were once used to prevent Superman from using his X-ray vision were still effective, now serving to protect against Kryptonian warriors.
He stepped out of the elevator and entered the laboratory that he and Professor Ivo had built with great care. Professor Ivo was at the computer, observing the results.
Inside a glass chamber on an operating table lay a gray body with well-defined muscles, and the face resembled Jor-El.
"How is Amazo doing?" Lex Luthor walked into the laboratory and looked at the 'Jor-El' on the operating table.
Originally, Lex Luthor and Professor Ivo had collaborated to create a powerful robotic body capable of matching the Justice League. But later, when Jor-El was introduced, something mysterious happened.
"He is undergoing changes. I used the code that 'Jor' sent over. Amazo is forming a unique atomic cell, where it seems that every atomic cell has a complete genetic sequence forming during the process."
"If you were to consider a complete genetic sequence as one person, then every atomic cell would be an individual. Amazo is becoming a massive genetic repository, with unparalleled potential."
Professor Ivo had disheveled hair, and his eyes shone brightly as he stared at the changing data on the screen.
Lex Luthor's face darkened.
'Jor' was a mysterious network hacker who had appeared when the Amazo project began under Professor Ivo's guidance. 'Jor' had played a role in guiding the formation of Amazo.
'Jor' is a mysterious individual who possesses exceptional knowledge about Kryptonians. Lex Luthor had acquired much of his information about Kryptonians from 'Jor'.
Lex Luthor walked over to Professor Ivo and looked at the screen. As expected, he saw some familiar Kryptonian genes.
Amazo was in the process of forming atomic cells, and within each cell was a complete Kryptonian gene.
"Jor, who are you, and why are you so familiar with Kryptonian genes?" Lex Luthor asked in a deep voice.
"I am an enemy of H'el, a comrade who shares common interests with you. We both have the same goal: to kill H'el!" a cold, mechanical voice echoed from the speakers.
"I don't believe you. Just a moment ago, that Kryptonian ruler eliminated this entire country in ten minutes. Give me a reason to trust you, or I will stop the atomic cell evolution of Amazo."
Lex Luthor's gaze flickered with a dangerous intent.
The laboratory fell silent.
Before long, a design diagram appeared on the screen.
It was a blueprint for a machine that could absorb nuclear radiation and convert it into clean energy. With just this design, Lex Luthor could easily deal with the nuclear radiation fallout left by more than twenty nuclear explosions in the country, becoming a savior in the eyes of the people.
He could easily use this blueprint to regain the highest position of power in the country.
But for Lex Luthor, this was just a drop in the ocean, of little use.
"It's useless. As long as he exists, he can easily create a situation ten times worse than nuclear radiation with a mere wave of his hand."
Lex Luthor was acutely aware that as long as the Kryptonian ruler still existed, nothing would change significantly.
"Seek out magical power! When Kryptonian's weaknesses, emotions, Kryptonite, the Kryptonian atmosphere, and the red sun fail to affect H'el, use the strongest magic to directly destroy him!"
The emotionless mechanical voice carried a tone of hatred.
"Thaddeus Sivana, a lifelong researcher of ancient mythical magic, has always believed in the existence of magic in the world. By consulting various magical books and exploring hidden relics, he discovered a tomb sealed with immense magical power. Find him and help him unlock the magic of the ancient tomb to gain the power to confront H'el."
"Magic, huh..." Lex Luthor squinted his eyes, pondering.
