You're just a filmmaker?
Then how do you explain Batman?
Or Cyborg?
Are they all cosplaying after watching your movies?
"You!!"
Tony choked on his words, feeling like he might cough up blood. He was so frustrated he was on the verge of collapse.
"What do you mean, 'you'?!"
Anton rolled his eyes and shot back without hesitation. "Watch your accusations, or I'll sue you for slander."
"Anton, you'd better watch out!"
Tony clenched his fists, barely suppressing the urge to put on his portable armor and take Anton down with him.
While they were arguing, the situation on the scene shifted again.
Cyborg arrival drew even more attention than Green Arrow debut.
It caused an uproar!
Even from the skyscrapers near the experimental platform, people had noticed the commotion and gathered at the windows to watch.
They saw with their own eyes a silver figure descending from the sky.
The streamlined, metallic body was awe-inspiring in its sleek design.
Those closer to the Hudson River stared up at the stern-looking figure in mid-air, too stunned to speak as they exchanged shocked glances.
Those farther away could only make out a person in what seemed to be a silver mechanical suit flying through the sky. They didn't know much else, but their curiosity burned like fire.
"Is that…"
In a high-rise building near the Manhattan Bridge, a black employee standing by the floor-to-ceiling windows had the clearest view of the silver figure.
He immediately thought of a hero he'd recently seen in a movie—one that had resonated deeply with his community.
"Cyborg!!"
His expression changed, and he gasped in excitement. "It real. It actually real! Cyborg is real!!"
Fumbling for his phone, he quickly snapped a few low-quality photos and uploaded them to an online forum popular within the Black community.
Ping! Ping! Ping! Ping!
Within minutes, his computer was overwhelmed with notification sounds as the post blew up.
Despite the poor quality of the images, the astonishing sight captivated countless viewers.
Coulson, sensing the situation had escalated, arrived on the scene as quickly as possible with Natasha and Hawkeye.
The moment they stepped out of the car, they saw the meteor-like figure plummeting from the sky, then hovering mid-air, level with the Manhattan Bridge.
Their faces registered varying degrees of astonishment.
For Natasha and Hawkeye, it was pure shock.
They stood frozen, staring at the figure by the bridge, swallowing hard as thoughts of Batman, Green Arrow, and DC extensive roster of heroes swirled in their minds.
Could it be…?
"Cyborg… he really here!"
Coulson, though surprised, wasn't entirely stunned. His expression quickly returned to calm.
When Green Arrow had first appeared, he had already foreseen this moment and had even reported his suspicions to Nick Fury.
At the time, Fury had dismissed the intel.
Now, it seemed Fury wouldn't be able to ignore it once this incident concluded.
"Hawkeye, keep an eye on Obadiah and evacuate the people near the experimental platform," Coulson instructed, snapping out of his thoughts. "Natasha, go find Anton. See if you can get any information out of him."
"Understood."
Natasha and Hawkeye exchanged glances and nodded, splitting up to carry out their tasks.
At nearly the same moment.
Police cars, sirens blaring, began flooding the scene.
George Stacy arrived with his task force.
Behind him emerged a team of specially equipped operatives from a modified truck.
The Ninja Turtles had arrived in style.
At first sight, they spotted Anton standing off to the side and instinctively shrank back slightly.
"Shit!"
Standing beside Anton, Tony eyes widened in disbelief as he caught sight of the unusual creatures.
Having spent so much time holed up in his Malibu mansion building armor, completely disconnected from recent news, this was his first encounter with the Ninja Turtles.
"Am I seeing things?"
He muttered to himself, "They're… turtles?"
"What that supposed to mean?"
Michelangelo, overhearing, seemed offended.
He strode toward Tony.
Happy immediately stepped in front of Tony, instinctively reverting to his role as a bodyguard.
"Turtle, I'm warning—"
Before Happy could finish, Michelangelo casually shoved him aside like moving a piece of furniture. Happy, powerless to resist, found himself unceremoniously slid out of the way, watching in stunned silence.
Then, Michelangelo leaned in, lightly bumping Tony with his shell. Looking down at him with the disdain of someone addressing a clueless yokel, he smirked.
"You've never seen a turtle walking on two legs?"
Tony lips twitched.
You're absolutely right—I've never seen a turtle walking on two legs!
Meanwhile, as more specialized responders arrived at the scene, the battlefield near the experimental platform remained chaotic.
The tense standoff gripped everyone attention.
The air felt thick, charged with an unspoken, volatile energy.
Doctor Octopus, his expression subtly shifting, raised his gaze toward Cyborg, who hovered in the air above.
Though his mind was partially corrupted by the influence of his intelligent mechanical arms, his cognitive abilities were far from diminished.
If anything, the augmentation made his thought processes even faster.
Cyborg sudden appearance didn't shock him as much as the sight of Cyborg highly advanced design.
This level of sophisticated technology couldn't have been created casually.
Which cutting-edge laboratory could he be from?
"Hm?"
Failing to recognize Cyborg, Otto briefly pondered but quickly dismissed the thought.
He had been so consumed by his artificial sun experiment that he'd paid little attention to the world around him.
The only superhero he was vaguely aware of was Batman, whose name had been incessantly mentioned by those around him.
However, judging by the reactions of those nearby, this new opponent appeared to be as prominent as Batman himself.
"You seem to be pretty famous," Otto said calmly, his tone measured. "Care to introduce yourself?"
Two of his mechanical arms were aimed at Cyborg above, while the other two pointed toward Green Arrow on the ground, displaying his readiness to take on both opponents simultaneously.
"Victor Stone."
Cyborg voice, though not loud, carried clearly to everyone present.
The crowd excitement grew as they heard the name.
"But I also go by another name."
Cyborg thrusters dimmed as he descended from mid-air, landing near Otto with measured precision.
He spoke deliberately, each word resonating with calm authority.
"You can call me… Cyborg."
Before the words had fully left his lips—
Whoosh!
Otto launched his attack without hesitation.
Two of his mechanical arms shot toward Green Arrow, while the other two stretched out lightning-fast, targeting Cyborg from a distance.
Dual-front combat.
It was clear Otto didn't regard either opponent as a real threat.
Clang!
Cyborg blocked the strike.
The sound of metal clashing rang sharply in the air.
In the same instant, the thrusters on Cyborg back and feet roared to life, propelling him forward with immense force, rapidly closing the distance between him and Otto.
Meanwhile, the two mechanical arms targeting Green Arrow missed their mark.
Dodging deftly, Green Arrow movements were seamless, almost graceful. As he evaded, he quickly swapped in explosive arrows, aiming for the "hands" of the mechanical arms—the points where the fingers opened and closed.
Boom!
Though the mechanical arms themselves were incredibly durable and resistant to explosions, the cameras embedded in their claws couldn't withstand the fiery impact.
One of the cameras was destroyed.
Crack!
A system alert rang in Otto mind. He had lost a quarter of his special field-of-view capability from the damaged camera.
His movements became slightly less precise.
Seizing the opportunity, Green Arrow fired several more arrows without hesitation.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Explosive arrows forced Otto to stumble.
Though he managed to steady himself, his mechanical arms responded quickly, dodging the blasts and preventing further camera damage.
However, by now, Cyborg was upon him.
In front of the riveted crowd—
Otto couldn't react in time as Cyborg hand clamped around his throat, lifting him off the ground and into the air.
"Stop!!"
Rose, who had been anxiously watching the battle, let out a terrified scream.
Everyone else, watching as the fight reached this critical moment, held their breath, too captivated to even blink for fear of missing something.
Eddie, meanwhile, was on the verge of bursting with excitement.
Two new superheroes had emerged—both from DC Comics!
They were all under the same "boss."
In Eddie mind, that practically made them colleagues!
And their first appearance delivered breaking news of epic proportions.
Eddie affection for the duo skyrocketed, and he even adjusted his camera angle to ensure Cyborg and Green Arrow looked as heroic as possible.
"You think you can control me like this?"
Lifted into the air by Cyborg, Otto body dangled, unable to find footing.
Still, he didn't panic. The artificial intelligence of his mechanical arms kept his mind cool and calculating, allowing him to think rationally under any circumstances.
All four mechanical arms extended toward Cyborg, clamping onto the arm gripping Otto throat.
Otto face flushed—whether from anger or lack of oxygen was unclear.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
The claws of the mechanical arms exerted immense pressure on Cyborg forearm.
But after several seconds, Otto expression twisted in shock as he realized—
He couldn't harm Cyborg at all.
Impossible!
That was the only thought racing through Otto mind.
His mechanical arms were made of vibranium, one of the rarest and strongest metals on Earth. By all accounts, it should have been able to cause significant damage. Yet, it couldn't even scratch Cyborg.
This could only mean that Cyborg exterior was far more advanced than Otto had imagined.
"There nothing impossible about it," Cyborg responded calmly, one of his mechanical eyes glowing red, devoid of any emotion.
Click!
Cyborg robotic hand shifted, transforming as an interface port emerged.
It connected directly to the damaged inhibitor chip at the back of Otto head.
The chip internal structure was already fried; it was nothing more than a piece of scrap metal, beyond repair.
But Cyborg intention wasn't to fix it.
It was to remove it.
As soon as Cyborg began this maneuver, the mechanical arms sensed the threat and intensified their assault on him.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
The mechanical arms pounded relentlessly, but Cyborg remained immovable, steady as a rock.
Suspended mid-air, the two seemed locked in a standoff. To the onlookers, the fight didn't look particularly intense, but everyone understood the tension of this stalemate.
Cyborg was clearly performing some sort of critical operation.
Even Green Arrow on the ground refrained from interfering, leaving the two to their struggle.
From afar, the gathered spectators watched the suspended figures with bated breath, hoping for a favorable outcome.
It over!
Anton, observing from a distance, received the data Cyborg transmitted back to him and smiled.
"Looks like you guys showed up late!" Anton quipped to Michelangelo.
"What?"
Michelangelo blinked, turning to look at Otto being held aloft by Cyborg. He seemed caught off guard.
We're right on time, aren't we?
Tony, hearing Anton remark, glanced skyward.
"He right… it over!"
With his sharp instincts, Tony noticed Cyborg hand had transformed into an interface that appeared to connect to Otto head.
Tony immediately recalled Cyborg abilities as depicted in the movie.
He realized instantly that the new hero was attempting to rescue Otto.
"Tony, what happening?"
George Stacy, tense with worry, turned to Tony for answers.
"Otto mind has been influenced by the AI of his mechanical arms," Tony explained. "Cyborg is removing the inhibitor chip from the back of Otto head and attempting to access its system to gain control over the four mechanical arms."
Tony continued, "Once the arms are neutralized, Otto should regain his sanity and revert to who he used to be."
"So, we really were late!"
George let out a breath of relief.
"Thank goodness nothing worse happened!"
He looked around at the battlefield, littered with destruction, and felt oddly reassured.
This time, thanks to the timely intervention of the new heroes, the situation had been contained before it spiraled out of control.
Cyborg!
Green Arrow!
Thinking of the events that had just unfolded, George lowered his head in contemplation. The number of superheroes emerging in New York was growing rapidly.
And with them came an increasing number of chaotic incidents!
Whether this was a blessing or a curse remained uncertain.
"Chief, we've got a casualty!"
A nearby officer hurried over to report.
"What?"
George spun around, his face livid. "How is there a casualty?"
The officer replied helplessly, "He just incredibly unlucky—he the only one injured in the entire area… His injuries are severe and he needs immediate medical attention!"
"Then what are you standing here for? Get him help, now!"
George gritted his teeth in frustration.
Anton and Tony exchanged a glance, instantly knowing who they were talking about.
Without a doubt, it had to be the poor guy who'd been coaxed into trying to pull the power lever, only to be flung aside by Otto mechanical arms.
Everyone knew shutting off the power was the solution.
No one dared to do it.
Except him. He'd let his courage—or stupidity—get the better of him and charged forward. It was practically a death wish.
Even Anton hadn't expected someone to be that reckless. He hadn't had time to summon his Green Arrow avatar to save the poor guy.
Instead, he'd summoned Green Arrow just in time to rescue Otto wife, Rose, from a near-fatal attack.
Given Rose age and health, if she'd been struck, there would have been no coming back.
Luckily for the unlucky man, he wasn't going to die. Perhaps it was a case of "fools have the luck of fools."
Well, Stark Industries would likely pay out a hefty sum.
Come to think of it, the guy might not be so unlucky after all!
If he spent wisely, he'd be set for life. Maybe even the next life!
As Anton and Tony had predicted, the incident came to a close.
Mid-air, Cyborg held Otto aloft.
The four mechanical arms detached from Otto back, falling from above and crashing into the flowing Hudson River, sending massive splashes into the air.
As the waves settled, the mechanical arms disappeared beneath the surface, vanishing without a trace.
"Cyborg!"
"Victor!"
"That was incredible!"
The crowd erupted into cheers, shouting both Cyborg name and nickname.
Among them, the reporters holding cameras—who had captured the entire event—wore the biggest grins of all.
And no one grin was bigger than Eddie.
Eddie smile was practically cartoonishly wide, twisting into something absurdly crooked.
Because, unlike anyone else, he had recorded the entire incident in its entirety.
New York top reporter!
Unquestionably, that title was his to claim!
