Chapter 1: A Harbinger's Beginning!
Alternate DC Universe - 2003
Somewhere within Europe held a mysterious secret base. The base was heavily guarded, soldiers pacing back and forth, guns in each of their hands as they scouted for any potential threats.
Deep inside of the base, in a small room, a young boy, around 12 years old was laying down on a bed provided for him.
'How long had it been?' The boy thought as he opened his beautiful purple eyes, looking around the bland room.It was a normal sight.
Years before, he would've woken up scared, screaming and crying alerting the guards of his presence, annoying them to the point of beating him into submission, but now, he was simply acclimatized to the situation.
He was previously just a normal 18 year old kid, just graduating from high school. He chuckled as he remembered going to a bar for the first time to celebrate graduating with his friends, yet a truck appeared out of no-where, crashing into him and killing him.
The next thing he knew, he reincarnated into a child. Abandoned on the doorsteps of a European orphanage with nothing to his name, he grew up scouring the streets for food, water and any other necessities.
However, this wasn't any normal world. Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, the Justice League was a thing in this world.
However, one random day, he was kidnapped. Awakening to spot himself in this room. Then, one day every week for the next few years up until today, he would be cruelly tortured and experimented on.
From the whispers of the researchers, they seemed to be looking for "MetaHuman" genes, and ways to turn him into a supersoldier.
It wasn't just him however, he spotted dozens of children in this awful place, and that wasn't counting the hundreds he had seen who died and were disposed of, it was an abysmal place.
He himself was beginning to lose faith, his body unable to handle much more torture, more blood drawn and experimentation.

"Breakfast time #257, eat up!" The gruff voice echoed throughout the room as it awakened anyone else sleeping along the previously quiet hallway.
Meanwhile, the boy, who was labelled #257, raised his head, looking at the guard before spotting the plate of food tossed on the ground for him to eat.He got up, walking to the plate and taking it back to his bed, where he sat and ate it.
The food looked like mashed potatoes, but the boy knew it wasn't. It was an unpalatable, but very nutritious meal.It wasn't that those researchers were benevolent, but just hoping that the experimental subject has a healthy enough body to survive the experiment.
After eating, the boy rested the plate on the ground to be taken away, before stopping in place for a second, shocked as a mysterious hologram appeared before him,

I am truly sorry for your late reincarnation gift. You see, as I was attempting to kill the chosen one with Truck-Kun to send her off to cleanse a world of a Demon King, it accidentally killed you as well and reincarnated you in a random world using DC Comics and Live Action materials.
The reason for this gift is to compensate for taking your life too early. I am truly sorry for the inconvenience, and enjoy your second life!

As Kayn read the screen with surprise, another one popped up.

The boy, Kayn, calmed down as he read the screen. If he acted too out of place, it would be too obvious something had happened to him. Maybe the guards would think he received some powers, and send him off for extra experiments.
Suppressing the expectations and excitement in his heart, Kayn walked towards showers in his room. The mysterious organization wanted to limit interaction between subjects to a minimum, giving them each personal bathrooms.
Kayn walked into the shower, a blind spot of the cameras and finally opened the Reincarnation Compensation Gift Package.

After reading the rewards, Kayn was excited, these were just the things he needed to allow himself to break out of this facility and gain a foothold in this dangerous DC Universe.

Kayn first took a look outside to make sure no guard was there. The lights in the hallway were turned back off, leading for him to realize that was a no. Most subjects were locked in rooms all day, so him being in the bathroom all day would not be suspicious.
Then, Kayn took the towel provided and covered his mouth to avoid any noise, then clicked to merge with the rewards.
~Crack~Crunch~Crack~
"Argh…fuck!"
Kayn groaned and wailed into the towel, an immense amount of pain crashing into his body and assaulting his mind. Kayn could feel his bones breaking and rejoining at a rapid rate, a mysterious energy washing over and evolving his body and soul, blood seeping out of his pores.
Kayn could feel himself losing consciousness, but he willed himself and kept his eyes open. Kayn currently might lack in everything right now, wealth, dignity, a place to live, but his mental strength is totally different. He had survived years in this facility, and he wouldn't let some pain stop him from greatness.
After at least 2 hours, the pain resided slowly and he removed the gag and started to breath heavily. Kayn dragged himself into the shower, taking a bath and washing away all of the blood down the drain before checking his body in the mirror.
Firstly, all of his scars disappeared. He was taller, now around 5'5, and was much stronger. His bones sturdier and his muscles were firmer, stronger. His skin was now much more bright and supple. His purple hair seemed cleaner, more vibrant.
His facial features were better, even as a child, he was still extremely cute, and would certainly become handsome growing up. His eyes were also changed, now a deep, enchanting purple that could enrapture anyone, yet also strike a chilling gaze if he so needed.
Kayn knew he needed to hide these changes, yet guards very rarely checked on subjects aside from their experimentation day, which was 5 days away for Kayn, so he had some time to hide and adjust to the changes.
Therefore, he must make good use of these five days. Kayn mind also improved, now his thoughts and deduction ability was more rapid, and he also had massive amounts of information about human combat skills in his mind and engraved in his body.It was like a natural reflex to him, and Kayn needed to take all the time adjusting to his body, and taking advantage of the combat skills, getting accustomed to them in time for his escape.And thus begun Kayn's escape training!
