Chapter 174: Chapter 174: Trigon
[3rd POV]
Apokolips
"We need to act faster."
Clark said, literally breaking through a door with his body.
"How much faster? We've already finished off your former friends quickly and as carefully as possible."
Shinoa replied.
"Though they did come back to our side afterward..."
"Old magic is a double-edged sword."
Constantine shrugged.
He had used Diana's Lasso of Truth to help HER regain control of her actions.
Afterward, they easily tied up the others to bring them to their senses.
The Lasso of Truth managed to shake off the control of the New God, and the heroes remembered who they were.
At this moment, they stood outside the citadel entrance to keep anyone from entering.
"We've been expecting you."
A tall woman in armor suddenly appeared and said.
"I am Stompa, Furies of Lord Darkseid. And I will crush you!"
She exclaimed as doors opened from the walls, releasing Paradooms and several warrior women.
"That's Flash!"
Clark spotted his friend running on something resembling a treadmill.
It's connected to advanced energy machines that harvested the energy he generated from the Speed Force.
"Oh, your acquaintance? He generates a lot of interesting energy... However, you will find yourselves in similar conditions for the glory of Darkseid."
Stompa said.
"Help your friend, and we'll handle these."
Rias said while wings were bursting from her back as she flew up, releasing a stream of destructive power toward the enemies.
"You heard her, cowboy."
Shinoa smacked Clark on the back and leaped toward Stompa.
Stompa's sword parried Shino's strike, and she easily pushed Shinoa back.
The blow to Shinoa's side was only partially dodged.
"You're strong."
Shinoa admitted grimly as she adjusted her grip on the scythe and moved forward.
She saw Hermione's spells flying by and killing enemies, and some were so strong they were knocking them out.
"But you're not!"
Stompa yelled, but the next moment, a look of confusion appeared on her face.
"Divide! Divide! Divide!"
Shinoa chanted and used her Sacred Gear on her which made her several times stronger.
The next slash severed Stompa's arms. However, she didn't give up easily and attempted to kick Shinoa with impressive speed.
Then Shinona saw the strike clearly, dodged it, spun her entire body, and plunged her scythe into her chest.
"You're strong, but I'm stronger."
Shinoa whispered, lifted her with her scythe, and slammed her into the ground with all her might.
"You are still resisting, Kal-El."
A voice resonated while sending chills down Shinoa's spine, and judging by her friends' reactions, not only hers.
A tall figure she had seen in pictures stood at another door... Darkseid.
"Darkseid..."
Superman gritted his teeth.
"What have you done to him?!"
He was talking about Flash who he had already set free by breaking the machine.
"You still struggle to oppose me and find new allies. Your spirit is truly strong, unbroken by everything you've seen so far. You are a magnificent opponent, but you must understand it is hopeless. You cannot defeat Darkseid."
Darkseid spoke with undisguised superiority.
"Clark, surrender, and perhaps my lord will spare you."
Batman said while sitting on the Mobius Chair next to Darkseid.
"Your planet is already mine, your friends and loved ones are either dead or under my control. I crushed you once. I can do so again. Your allies will suffer once more..."
Darkseid looked at Rias, Hermione, Shinoa, Constantine, Raven, and Robin.
Robin stared at Batman.
Shinoa realized the situation was dire and quickly messaged Tony through the chat.
The next moment, a thunderous noise erupted.
However, Shinoa's reactions weren't fast enough to see anything.
Superman and Darkseid vanished from their spots, and a hole appeared in the ceiling, with the sounds of battle echoing from above.
"Father..."
Robin murmured.
"I knew that Clark would come one day. It was inevitable. I was even prepared for his new allies, but these ones... turned out to be unknown in my database. Lord Darkseid clearly wants to personally punish all of you."
Batman said, stepping down from the 'throne' and stretching his shoulders demonstratively.
"Do you think you can handle us?"
Rias smiled, clearly unimpressed by Batman alone.
"He always has a plan. That's why I'm here... to level the playing field."
Constantine said, looking at him.
"Even you came here, Constantine. Did Zatanna's death not fully demonstrate the futile of your actions?"
Batman asked, clearly pressing the conversation.
There were rumblings from above, and the entire defense shook.
"We're not so easily broken, father."
Robin said, taking a defensive stance and pointing a kryptonite sword at Batman.
"Father? Do you dare call me that? Your mother drugged me to conceive you. She forced me to raise you and broke my mind. But now, Lord Darkseid has opened my eyes, and I see you are not my son. You're just..."
"Accio Maximus, Batman's costume."
Hermione said, and Batman suddenly flew towards her at tremendous speed.
Batman's suit changed and became covered with red veins as he gripped his feet firmly onto the floor.
"Magic..."
Batman stretched out his hand towards Hermione... where a powerful laser shot out with a click of the Protego shield.
She could have been seriously injured if not for her reaction.
"I was prepared for encountering magic."
He replied, catching the sword with which Robin had tried to strike him.
"Parademons, attack!"
The remaining minions of Darkseid began pouring out like bees from the open passages in the ceiling.

[Anthony's POV]
As soon as I opened a portal to Earth, I saw chaos and Batman reaching for his belt to use something prepared in advance.
I could clearly see the enemies in general.
Darkseid and Superman were already fighting high in the stratosphere... and the battle was intense.
Superman had been under the light of a yellow sun for over forty years and had gained greater strength than Clark from my world.
They both fought at speeds exceeding even the speed of light, and gradually, the battle moved away from the planet.
I also noticed an interesting Mobius Chair, which would be useful... although it's strange that the real owner isn't here.
However, it all depends on the universe and who invented the Mobius Chair here.
As far as I know, this Mobius Chair could travel through space and time and served Mobius or Metron to observe the universe as he was obsessed with knowledge.
Then he made a deal with Darkseid because he needed the Tenth Metal to finish the Mobius Chair.
In exchange, Darkseid provided him Boom Tube technology and the Mother Box.
So, the Mobius Chair grants almost omniscience to the owner because it contains the X element.
Additionally, the Mobius Chair has propulsion beams capable of moving even planets from place to place.
"A useful item indeed..."
The Mobius Chair didn't resist without an owner, and I easily placed it in my dimensional pocket inside the ring.
However, I'm not particularly eager to use it yet because what if Doctor Manhattan appears and erases me from reality?
I'm not sure if my powers are enough against him... at the moment.
I also immediately sensed a strange signature... the Mother Box was nearby.
It literally called out to me when I found it moving rapidly in one of the rooms.
I wasn't surprised that the Mother Box seemed to cozy up to me.
After all, it contains the Tenth Metal, and Creation is the antithesis of the Entropy that Darkseid brought.
It's not surprising that the Mother Box almost immediately chose me as its owner.
There are probably others on the planet, but I simply don't have time to search for them now.
It attached to my armor and merged with it at such speed that I barely noticed.
However, it shouldn't do anything harmful to me, but I need to return to the battle.
Batman himself turned out to be trapped by Hermione's magic.
I transferred additional powers to her through the ring to ensure he couldn't escape.
However, he's Batman, the king of plot armor... well, I think I can call myself the king of that armor.
"Oh, the Flash."
I noticed the messy Barry Allen and Constantine helping him stay on his feet.
A second ago, I dealt with the Parademons, who lacked the real strength of a Kryptonian and thus burned in the light's fire.
"Do we know each other?"
He asked uncertainly, looking as if he had been running for two years...
"No,"
I pointed to the bound Batman and used a purification spell with light energy.
"Are you back?"
"I... yes..."
Batman nodded.
He could lie, but I can tell when someone is lying to me or not. I untied him, and he began a touching reunion with his son.
"Laeh."
I applied a healing spell to everyone in the room.
Hermione had a few scratches on her body and Rias.
Shinoa had a couple of bruises and a broken rib.
That kind of blow could only be delivered by someone as strong as Wonder Woman, and it would have torn a normal person apart.
"Thank you, Administrator-kun! Wow, is that a person in the wall?"
Shinoa noticed as one of the walls moved away, revealing Cyborg embedded in it... a wall that I sensed Creation itself.
This is a copy of the Source Wall.
The Source Wall encloses the multiverse and guards the Source which is the boundless energy of Creation.
The Darkseid created a copy of this in order to gain access to a fragment of infinite energy.
"This is Victor, and I've already fixed his processor in place."
Constantine said while looking up tensely.
The Parademons were still there, flying towards us in thousands from the far ends of the planet.
"Yes... I can open a portal back to Earth for you."
Victor Stone said.
"We need to stop Darkseid. He won't leave us alone."
The now-recovered Batman's words made sense.
"I... I can direct Apokolips into a black hole. More precisely, with the planet's own capabilities, I can open one right here."
Cyborg suggested the idea of annihilating the planet.
"Didn't Darkseid have plans to ensure your loyalty? After all, you both could have caused a lot of trouble with access to the planet's data."
I asked when landing next to Victor and analyzing his body and the Source Wall.
"We haven't been introduced, but now isn't the time. And no, Darkseid was too arrogant and confident in our loyalty... and that's exactly what we'll use against him."
Victor replied.
"Then get to it, I'll help Clark..."
I was about to turn towards the hole in the ceiling when Raven screamed.
The crystal on her forehead sparks and releases a massive amount of demonic energy.
"This... is much stronger than my brother."
Rias said in shock, stepping back several steps.
"Tony-kun..."
Shinoa gripped her scythe, looking quite frightened.
Hermione was practically gasping for breath as she felt the raw power of the entity breaking free...
Trigon.
"I am free! In your attempt to eradicate my evil... you have made me unstoppable! I am now power! I am now death! I am... Trigon!"
Trigon declared.
He got stronger and quickly regained his power in this world full of suffering.
"This isn't going according to plan."
Constantine pointed at Trigon, and a magical seal with a star symbol appeared near his hand.
He tried to seal him again, but... Trigon merely raised an irritated brow, and John's neck snapped with a crunch, with his body falling to the floor like a broken doll.
"Stick to the plan."
I said as Trigon pointed his hand in our direction.
I couldn't teleport him with my own power, but I needed more time.
However, it was possible to open a Boom Tube with the Mother Box.
A loud "boom" sounded, and a portal opened behind Trigon. I sent him through it with a punch at my maximum speed.
A very convenient ability that can open a portal to any location in the universe without resistance.
He was now in space near the battle between Darkseid and Superman.
