In 765 A.E., Goku suffered from a viral heart disease and died. In 766 A.E., Trunks was born. In the same year, Dr. Gero, a remnant of the Red Ribbon Army, awakened the ferocious Androids 17 and 18.
The Z Warriors were forced to face the enemy. Then, Yamcha, Tien, Chiaotzu, Krillin, Vegeta, and Piccolo died in battle. Gohan, who was only 9 years old, escaped because he was collecting Dragon Balls.
