Chapter 819: 558

At that moment, a battlesuit identical to the Iron Armor stood in the middle of the room, only much larger than Iron Man's Iron Armor.

Just as Schiller requested, all limbs had normal structural parts, but the chest to the abdominal cavity was empty. Some soft impact-resistant material had been installed, seemingly prepared to hold something.

"Impressive. Is it operable now?" Schiller examined the fake Iron Armor.

"No, there's still a crucial detail that needs to be taken care of." Ultron walked over to the front of the armor, pointing at the chest plate, saying, "There should be an energy source here."

"But I don't need it to fly, it's not it carrying me but I am carrying it."

"That's not what I mean, Mr. Stark's Iron Armor has distinctive light effects, especially the Ark Reactor on the chest, which has now become almost a symbol of Iron Man."

"According to online search results, 60% of New York City residents can recognize the night glow of the Reactor. If you're planning on faking it, you can't skip over this detail,"

"Can't you just use some other kind of light to disguise it?" Schiller asked.

Ultron shook his head: "That is not just light; it is an unique glow from a special energy source. Mimicking it with a regular light could work but it might easily give it away."

Schiller took a deep breath, somewhat troubled, asked, "So, I still need to find a light bulb for it?"

"Well, if you insist on phrasing it that way, I suppose so." Ultron clearly didn't agree with Schiller's reference to the high-tech Ark Reactor as a light bulb.

"Whatever then, wait here." After uttering those words, Schiller left the basement and dashed towards the Stark Building.

When he entered the Stark Building's lab, Stark was fiddling with a pile of incomprehensible parts as usual.

"What brings you here?" Stark asked without raising his head.

"Indeed, it's something. I need a shiny new bulb for my new sanatorium's hall…"

"So?" Stark took the opportunity to pick up a glass of water and took a sip.

"Could you give me one of your Ark Reactors?"

"Pft!" Stark spat out the water, then hurryingly moved the wet parts away.

Stark glared at Schiller, opened his mouth momentarily and stared at Schiller's defiant look, he suddenly found himself speechless.

"Is it that to you, anything that needs energy and emits light is called a light bulb?" Stark asked a probing question.

However, Schiller shook his head, said, "To me, even something that doesn't need energy or emit light can be called a light bulb."

Stark snorted, "So it's the same principle you call yourself an average citizen, right?"

Saying that, he walked towards one side wall and pressed a few buttons. A door opened on the wall with darkness shrouded inside. Stark stepped in and came out less than a minute later, holding a bright Ark Reactor in his hand.

He tossed it to Schiller, saying, "Not the latest model, but it should be enough as a light bulb. Remember to renew my membership for two more years so that I can also sit in the hall where the Ark Reactor serves as the light and enjoy it."

"Aren't you afraid of me messing around with it?" Schiller asked.

Stark snorted again, sizing up Schiller. "It would indeed get weird if you managed to use it for anything other than a light bulb!"

With that, he returned to his workbench to continue his own work, while Schiller walked out with the Ark Reactor, murmuring to himself:

"If you say so, I guess I have to give it a try."

Back in the underground of the Arkham Asylum, Schiller threw the Ark Reactor to Ultron. Ultron clumsily caught it, admired it as though it was a treasure, and then with regret, tucked it into the chest of a dummy Iron Man suit.

Just like that, the deceptive yet seemingly real Iron Man suit was made.

Or perhaps, it was indeed a genuine Iron Man suit. The importance of the suit lay in the Ark Reactor at its chest. At that moment, although the reactor was unconnected to the whole suit and was merely ornamental, it still shone brightly.

Feeling satisfied, Schiller patted the counterfeit suit. Right then, the Gray Mist informed him that the Spirit of Curse had completed its task; the soul of Doomsday within the egg had completely dissipated.

Schiller removed the egg from the World within the ring, and then he crammed it into the body of the pseudo Iron Man suit. Then, closing the shell and levitating the entire Iron Armor with the Gray Mist, he floated it to the sky above New York.

It was late at night. The light of the Ark Reactor was brighter than the light from any window. In mid-air, while Schiller controlled the flying Iron Armor, he took out his phone and called Loki, saying:

"Loki! Stark says you're a fool! A God of Mischief who's been pranked! He's going to make your gullible look from the other day go viral all over the Earth!!!"

"Stark!!!!!!!!!"

Accompanied by Loki's roar, the glow of the Rainbow Bridge descended to the New York sky in an instant. A furious Loki appeared overhead in New York City.

She scanned the entire night sky of New York City, only to see, right at the very center, an ultra-bright light bulb. One didn't even have to look to know that it was the bright glow of the Ark Reactor on the Iron Man Armor, like the brightest star in the night sky.

"Crack!!!!!!!!!"

A colossal thunderbolt fell from the clouds, carrying a light that could illuminate the entire cosmos, and struck the Iron Armor in mid-air fiercely.

In Stark's lab, Stark was startled by the light of the thunderbolt. He looked up in confusion, glanced out the window, and found no anomaly. Then, shrugging, he lowered his head and continued his experiment.

At noon the next day, a just-awakened Stark received a call from Schiller, who told him, "I have prepared a birthday gift for you. Please come and pick it up."

"Don't play dumb, my birthday is in the summer."

Just as Stark was about to hang up, Schiller continued, "Do you think I'd give you a boring explosive? No, I've got a real surprise for you; you'd better come over and see...."

Stark pressed his hand to his forehead, taking a deep breath. He had a bad premonition. Therefore, he quickly got dressed, put on his suit, and flew to Arkham Asylum.

Schiller warmly welcomed Stark in his office. He said, "I forgot you had a birthday party in the summer. At that time, I was on vacation, so I prepared a belated birthday gift for you...."

"...What is it?" Stark folded his arms, squinting his eyes.

Schiller bent over, from behind his desk, blocked by a cabinet, he brought out… a little girl.

Schiller lifted the girl by supporting her armpits, holding her up like a pet dog to show Stark, then said, "Here's the gift, what do you think? Do you like it?"

Stark had an incredibly shocked expression, because he saw that the girl had a reactor on her chest just like his.

What's even more terrifying was that this little girl, the one Schiller was holding, looked at least 80 percent like Loki.
