Chapter 67: Safiya

"Malik. Why is she here?" Nia repeated, her voice much louder than before, the tone too shrill for Safiya's liking. If she had a deeper voice, it might have sounded better, but with this voice, it was like the sound of a town crier. Noise.

Malik took a deep breath, glared at Nia, and then without looking at Safiya—probably because there was no need to explain anything since his betrothed was here—he walked away, leaving just the two of them. Safiya side-eyed him until he was out of sight, then her gaze returned to Nia.

Nia glared back at her, her expression even harder now. If eyes could kill, Safiya would likely be dead. Nia crossed her hands over her chest and snorted, "I can't believe you followed him here even after my warning. What are your intentions, huh?"

Safiya raised a brow at her, choosing silence as the best course of action. She didn't trust her own words, nor did she trust her hands. When Safiya said nothing, Nia's anger intensified.
