"Have you figured out the culprit?" Mai Qi asked.
I shook my head. "This is too strange. If I'm the only one being implicated, then it's understandable, but to pull you into it? Do they not know your identity or they just don't care?"
Mai Qi shrugged. "Who cares. Once I find out who is behind this, I'll make sure they'll regret ever being born!" Mai Qi growled.
The cruiser stopped at a quiet path. Su Qian gestured for us to get out. Su Shen drove over with her car. We got into Su Shen's car and the officer drove the cruiser back to the station.
Mai Qi sighed in relief when we were in a familiar car. She punched at the cushion. "I am so mad!" I knew she needed to vent.
I asked Su Shen. "Why did you guys take so long to get here? Did something happen?"
Mai Qi also questioned. "By the way, Nanxing, when we were arrested, our phones were confiscated so how did you contact Jing Tian? And how did my lawyer know about this?"
Oh, I didn't expect her.
