Chapter 21: Chapter 21- Triplets of Madness
(A/N- The title is a bit dramatic but I just got home from my D&D session so don't judge)
Daryll's POV-
We spent last night in the church. Carl and the twins are acting weird. Axel and Tanner keep glaring at each other. Same with her and Carl. Carl is completly avoiding Axel and every time Axel sees Carl he looks like hes about to cry. Right now I'm sitting with Axel is one of the pews. I followed his gaze to see he was glaring in the direction of Tanner. "The fucks going on?" I asked getting a little irritated. He just looked over at me all confused. "You and Tanner are acting like you hate each other, same with Carl and Tanner. Carl is avoiding you and you look like your watching his ghost walk around!" I exclaimed slightly dramatically. "It's nothing dad." he said.
"It isn't nothing that's for sure." Glenn said sliding in next to me. "Shut the fuck up Glenn!" Axel said. "I think you should tell him." Glenn said. "No!" he yelled back. "Both of yall stop!" I yelled at them earning the attention of a few. Tanner just snickered and I shot her a warning look. Her and Axel used to be stuck like glue but now days shes just been being a bitch. "Now what do you got to tell me?" I asked. "Nothing we just had a disagreement." he said with a stern face. I know I'm not gonna get anything out of him so I might as well just go, I thought before standing up and walking away.
Axel's POV-
I waited for my dad to walk away and then punched Glenn in his arm. "What the fuck dude!?" I asked irritated. "Well I thought he should know!" he tried arguing. "Well he shouldn't. And don't you go telling him. I'll beat your ass." I said completly serious. " Okay! Okay!" he said. "So what are you gonna do about it?" He asked. Excuse me? " What the fuck am I supposed to do about it? He kissed her. He chose her! There is nothing I can do." I said trying to be quiet although unbenounced to me a certain someone heard me.
Carl's POV-
After Daryll left I got kinda curious and decided to go see what the were talking about. I didn't catch much of the conversation but I did here the end. "He kissed her. He chose her! There is nothing I can do." Axel said. I knew instantly what he was talking about. Fuck! He saw that? But he's upset. Does that mean he likes me? He said "he chose her" so maybe he does like me. I should talk to him about it tonight, but first I have to deal with a dumb bitch. I quickly stood up and walked outside. I saw Tanner go outside a couple minutes ago but I don't know where she went.
I looked around for a while before finding her sitting next to a tree. I grab up arm and yanked her up then began dragging her behind some bushes. "Hey!" she said as I stopped pulling her. "Why did you tell him?" I spat. "I didn't." she said with a smirk on her face. "Then how did he know!?" I asked annoyed. "He saw it. He was there the whole time." she said with the same smirk on her face. Fuck! I'm such an idiot! "Just leave me alone from now on." I said in a low voice before walking away. I should of just let her tell my dad! I mean really how mad could he be? I started to think about and realized I have no idea.
I know he has a problem with gays but I don'r know how deep it goes. I don't think anyone else would have a problem with it though. Maybe Beth. I know she's close with Tanner. But she isn't here right now. I hope we find her though. I believe Daryll is supposed to be going to look for her soon. Speaking of Daryll, I just ran into him. Literally. I run into things way to much. "Oh sorry." I said trying to walk away. I don't need him questioning me too. "Hey wait up!" he said. Awe fuck! "What's going on with you and my kids?" he asked raising and eyebrow. "I don't really know what your talking about." I tried to play it off. "Bull-" he got cut off by my dad. "Hey Carl! Come here real quick!" he yelled. Thank god! "Eh whatever." Daryll said walking off into the trees. He's probably just going to hunt some squirels or something.
"What's up dad?" I asked. "A lot of us are going on a run to get more food. Your staying here." he said. For once in my life I didn't have the energy to argue with him. "Who else is staying?" I asked. "You, Judith obviously, Axel, Maggie, and Glenn." he said. I simply nodded and he walked away telling everyone that they were about to leave. "Can I stay to?" Tanner asked. I could tell my dad was about to say yes but Daryll spoke before he could. "No your coming with us." he said slightly aggressivly. Damn, even he's catching on to how much of a bitch she's being, and shes his kid.
After about 30 minutes everybody was loaded up and gone. I guess this is my shot to talk to Axel since I so perfectly fucked shit up. What should I do? What should I do? I Know that Axel isn't gonna want to talk to me so I go to figure out a way to get him alone. That sounds creepy as fuck what is wrong with me. I audibly groaned and kicked some dirt. "Hey what's wrong with you?" Maggie asked plopping down on the ground. Yes! That's great! I thought as I sat down next to her. "I need your help!" I said a little to excitedly. "With what?" she asked seeming interested. "I need you to help me get Axel alone." I said. She just looked at me weird. "Why?" she asked. Here we go. Now I have to explain all this to her.
"Okay. Umm. How do I put this-" I was quickly cut off by Glenn. "Carl likes Axel. Tanner found out threatened to out him to his dad. Then she black mailed him to kiss her and when he did Axel saw. Now Axel's upset. Tanner's being a bitch and Carl needs our help to talk to his future boyfriend." he said way to quick. "Uh okay." Maggie said slowly with a smirk on her face. "So how can we help." she asked. "So Maggie say your having problems with Glenn and want to talk or something and then lead him into the chapel. I'll be in there waiting. Boom! Simple as that." I said. "Okay. So when are we doing this?" Glenn asked. "Well Maggie go start the operation and I''ll slip inside while you have him distracted." I said.
Maggie got up and walked towards him. Oh god! I'm so nervous. But I have no time I have to go inside now. I quickly slipped inside when he wasn't paying attention. I just stood there in the middle of the walkway for what was only about 2 minutes but felt like hours and the door finally opened. Oh shit! "Hey can we go talk somewhere else?" Axel asked turning around only to see Maggie gone and the doors closed. He tried to leave but I ran up to him and grabbed his arm. "We need to talk." I said.
