Kalliēl felt the gaze of the omnipotent and omniscient God landing on him, so sharp and unfathomable as though it could easily pierce through his deepest thoughts and emotions. He was all-knowing and all-seeing; before Him, no secrets could be hidden and no lies could be concealed.
But Kalliēl stood firm. Not only did he not recoil, he also openly allowed Him to study and scrutinize him. His demeanor was frank and honest, showcasing the conviction of 'I have nothing to fear' perfectly.
Witnessing this scene, the angels couldn't help but exchange doubtful glances. Not a single word was spoken aloud, yet their thoughts synchronized all the same.
'Is there something wrong here? A false alarm, perhaps…?'
'This is Kalliēl we're talking about! How could he possibly make such a basic mistake?'
'But the order for trial came from above, how do we explain that?'
'Well, let's just wait and see…'
