"What do you mean, Hunter? What do you mean that I am a part… a part of your plan?!" Twyla hollered, her fists clenched. 

"Twyla, calm down, please."

"Do not tell me to calm down," she spat out through her teeth. 

"Sorry, sorry. I am sorry."

"What's all the racket, then?" a voice called from along the staircase.

"Twyla, please, I will tell you but not here," Hunter whispered. "These people have not done anything. Please be nice to them."

Twyla glared at him and crossed her arms.
