Chapter 192: Skills of the Ultimate Gambler (4)

(Hifumi POV)

"W-what are you taking about Hifumi?" Yuriko said with a slight nervous stutter as I slowly removed my non-prescription glasses as I slick back my hair with only one strand hanging down in front of my face.

"'Come into my parlor said the spider to the fly'" I said reciting the old poem from The Spider and the Fly, before I added my own flare to it before I turned to Kumagusu as she visibly shook as the pressure became intense.

"'Oh no good sir! If I enter your parlor I'll never come out again!'" I said before I forcibly grabbed Kumagusu's right hand with an iron grip as I turned it around to show off her hand piercing before taking my right hand and letting my ring on my hand to be pulled by the hidden magnets in her hand piercing.

And I smiled probably the most evil smile I had in such a long time as I looked deep into her now terrified eyes, "'Oh Poor little fly, don't you know? You have already fallen right into my web…'"

"That being said, I can't trust either of you if your just bound to cheat with your own game so blatantly, so how about we play a real game of chance hmm?" I said after letting her hand go as I turned towards Yuriko who was visibly sweating more from having her cheat for her personal game found out before she could even play the game.

Seeing as she was already called out for her cheat and that her and Kumagusu's faces were tense as they never played a game without having their own advantage, "…. A-And if I refuse?" She asked which just made me smile as my eyes squinted.

"Then your going to have to come up with a brand new game from scratch after I tell your whole school the secret of your cheat." I said which made her visibly shake a bit as doing so would ruin her reputation as her game is known for the people playing it to them as a fair game of chance, if they know it's rigged then no one would trust her club and she'd have to close her gambling den down as no one plays in one that intentionally cheats their players out of their money most of the time with only a few winning as the cheat isnt 100% always in there favor but because of that it made those that tried to come to her gambling den to play seem like they genuinely had a chance to win big.

Sweat still dripping down her face she took a deep breath before regaining her composure before nodding, "Fine then, we shall play your game of choice Hifumi." She said as I clapped my hand and smiled.

"Fantastic! And I have a perfect game of chance and skill that we both can play." I say as I open my briefcase making Kumagusu intake a sharp breath at the sight of 100 million yen in cold hard cash before I opened up a hidden compartment on the top lid of it.

Since I knew that most of the gamblers here like the cheat I decided to bring my own brand new cards, cups and dice to play any game of my choosing.

So I grabbed two cups and two brand new dice packs as I looked at her, "Today we will play a game of Life or Death Liars Dice, it's a very simple game if you haven't played it before, we roll our dice and place our bets, then we say how many of each number there are of dice out of the total number of dice up to the max number of dice in play, we each place our guesses until either side calls the other out for being the liar, then when you call the other one is the Liar the cups are lifted up and we will know the truth, if the one who made the call was right then the liar loses a die, but if they were in fact telling the truth then the one who made the call out loses their die instead."

I continued on, "However the one who calls out can say the other person is telling the truth instead, if so the cups are lifted, with they were correct and their truly was only that amount of dice in play then the other player loses two dice, but if they were wrong they lose two dice instead, after that we roll again and we keep going until one side is completely out of dice, the match is over and the loser has to pay 30 times what they betted to the winner, sound simple enough?" I say to which while she was still sweating a little she nodded.

"Fantastic, then let's place our bets, oh and the bets have to match each other, and since you were thinking about cheating me out of my money, I'm not being nice anymore." I say still smiling as I close the 100 million yen briefcase and hold it up.

"All or nothing as they say, I bet all 100 million that I got on this one match we shall have, I lose then you will win 3 billion after I get in contact with my company and Financers to get you your winnings, but if I win then you owe me 3 billion yen, but I won't be ruthless and I won't let that accumulate interest overtime on what you owe me if you can't pay me now, that sounds reasonable enough right?" I said as the smile on my face didn't quite reach my eyes.

This made her shake more as this is a game mostly of skill, chance and above all else, being able to read your opponent, something she was lacking in that regard but not wanting to ruin everything she had built up she steeled her resolve before nodding.

"Fine, let's play this game of Liars Dice." She said to which I just grinned before we opened the sealed bags holding five dice each before putting them into our cups before we began to shake them up for a few seconds before we slammed down before we both looked at our cups.

(Hifumi- 3, 3, 6, 1, 2)

(Yuriko- 5, 4, 3, 1, 1)

"Ladies first." I said letting Yuriko have the start advantage.

"Alright then, one 2." She said as we began our game.

"One 4." I placed my guess

"One 6." (Y)

"Two 3's" (H)

"Three 1's" She said in a clear attempt to take me off my guard.

I rubbed my chin and lifted my cup to look back at my numbers before looking back at her, "Three 3's"

She pauses before looking at her dice before looking back at me as sweat was dripping from her brow, Kumagusu who was our sole witness to our match was extremely worried for Yuriko as 3 Billion isn't something the club can pay off easily.

Soon enough Yuriko took a deep breath while the sounds of the hands on the clock kept ticking away as she was conflicted for choice.

Was I a liar? Was I telling the truth? Or shall she make her own guess? These thoughts were running through her head a mile a minute as she had to process whatever she could but she couldn't get a read on me whatsoever.

"Well? Am I a liar? Am I telling the truth? You going to make your own guess? Cmon on now, 3 billion yen is on the line with this bet of ours, I am…. Eagerly waiting your decision…." I say as I hold out my hand towards her as my eyes glowed more with a evil smirk on my face.

(3rd POV of Celestia)

'Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! How is she doing it?! These are our dice so I know there's no trick to them that she can be sabotaging in her favor! These cups are solid black so she can't even accidentally see them before we both reveal them! How is she doing this with all the guesses when we go back and forth on whether there Highs or lows!' Kaede was having a internal monologue with himself as he had no idea how he was losing this badly.

So far they have had only 4 rounds so far, Celestia went first and placed the bet of 10 million which Kaede matched as they rolled their dice before placing their cups down.

Celestia chose higher would win for the round and then they revealed their numbers with Kaede getting a 6, 2, 2 making ten where as Celestia got 6, 5, 3 giving her fourteen making it her win.

Next round Kaede decided low after they made their rolls where he got 4 which should have been his win but Celestia was able to get a three of a kind with 2's making her have the winning hand by default as a result, making him lose 60 million from both matches altogether.

Next round Celestia chose low as well and Kaede got unlucky and got 15 while Celestia got only 6, and by round 5 that he had just lost in total 250 million and he was beginning to have a mental breakdown as he had never been trashed this thoroughly in his life when it comes to gambling and he can't get a read on her at all as he could feel she was taunting him overall.

'She must be cheating! I just fucking know it!' He thought internally while his face was having a hard time trying to stay neutral as possible as failure here is a possible chance he will be removed from the student council even if he doesn't end up as a 'Housepet' after this game.

But Celestia just smiled as she leaned on her right hand while playing with one of her dice in her left hand, "That look on your face, it's absolutely priceless to see."

This causes the veins to visibly bulge on Kaede's forehead, and if he wasn't right in front of the president he would be shouting at her, but instead he pushed up his glasses.

"Ms. Ludenberg I can't help but think that you have been cheating throughout the duration of this match." He said which made both Celestia and Kirari raise an eyebrow when he said that.

"Oh, then do pray tell how have I been cheating throughout this entire match when neither the cups nor the dice were provided by me and were instead provided by the student council, I do eagerly want to see you struggle and flounder around as to why your losing so badly when your just simply unlucky at that." She said before putting right in front of her lips as she waited for him to explain how she is cheating their game.
