Chapter 27: Duping Mother Carmel
After about 15 minutes, she had eaten all of the Semla in the container and soon after she fell asleep into a food coma after having her fill.
With that the delivery was complete and if this was the original version I would soon need to head back home or else I would be stuck here, but since the multiverse travel is available, me being sent to this world has unlocked the travel between my world and the world of One Piece for free so I can leave whenever I want.
But I'm not going to stay to long, this is way to far before the events of the story, most of the parents of all the main cast probably aren't even born yet and their grandparents are probably kids to teens at most right now.
I mean it's over 60 years before the story of One Piece even starts and over 20 to 30 before the Era of Roger and the Rocks Pirates so there isn't much here for me to look for, maybe Devil Fruits but none of them are that interesting to me of those that exist in the story and I don't know of the ones that were never mentioned or what they could do.
Seeing LinLin wouldn't get up soon, I pulled out a towel and wiped off her face before carrying her, which she wasn't that heavy thanks to my Gigantification making me much, much stronger than before so she weighed around the same a little kid for me at my normal size.
So I brought her in the vehicle and put her in the passenger seat before I turned it back on and headed in the direction she had come from as it was most likely where the Sheep's house would be at.
And after less than five minutes we got there to see a really old lady looking restless as she was searching all around for someone, most likely LinLin, before she turned to look at my Semi coming her way.
She was startled to see a vehicle like this appearing here in Elbaf, vehicles like this aren't unheard of but only those high up in the World Government or those from MADS have vehicles like this available, this made her start having ideas that who ever this was might be another Giant from the World Government.
Soon enough it reached her front yard as the children inside peeked outside the windows to see the giant vehicle approaching their home before coming to a stop before a big giant man comes out before going around to open the door on the other side and pull out a peacefully sleeping LinLin into his arms before he began to walk over and approach the Orphanage.
"I think she belongs to you, right Mother Carmel?" I say to her as place LinLin onto the ground where she curls up into a ball like a cat and sleeps peacefully.
I then pull out my gun and see their eyes widen as they watch both me and my Semi shrink right before there eyes as we both turn back to our normal sizes.
'Probably should get this upgraded at some point, the Level 2 version of this as it would make me well over 5000ft tall, I'd never use it in my world but in this world it would be pretty fun to appear as a living mountain from my size alone.' I thought to myself as I reached inside my cardigan before buying something from the shop that was cheap but believable before pulling it out.
On it was the badge with the letters CP1 on it, seeing that I saw Mother Carmels face get nervous as the man before her was a Cipher Pol agent.
"I see you understand what this means, Now there are somethings I would like to discuss with you Mother Carmel, would you let me into your home." I said with a gentle smile on my face but Carmel saw it as the grin of a snake coming to play with its food.
She knew of CP1 as they were the main Branch that roots out harmful corruption in the system, corruption that is harmful to the WG specifically as it in turn harms their interests, and thus they are the ones that come and clean up those problems, usually with a bullet.
And unlike the other branches they don't wear the standard all black suit and fedora as they are always meant to easily blend into a crowd, no matter the situation, so my looks weren't making her suspicious at all.
So she nodded and let me in before sending the kids out back to go and play while me and Mother Carmel were left alone as I took a seat at her table as I motioned for her to sit as well.
After she took her seat I clasped my hands together as I looked at her, "I can see your Nervous, well don't be as I have no plans of sending you to jail for trafficking high potential children to pirate crews in the past." I say and that's when she really begins to sweat buckets when she was casually called out for things she wasn't supposed to do while working for the WG selling to their enemies children with great potential.
"We will turn a blind eye to what you have done as your achievements in the past outweigh bad, and thus we won't hold that against you Mother Carmel, but I am here to relay you some info." I say which makes her visibly sigh in relief that she wasn't going to get punished for her crimes.
"Now I will say this, Old King Oden is starting to see through your facade Carmel, and that child LinLin is a ticking time bomb that could possible ruin not just your relationship with the Giants but the World Government relationship with giants as well which would be a heavy blow to the Worlds military might, so the higher ups have agreed that you and your orphanage need to leave this island before i they find out who you truly are."
"…. Are you saying my cover is comprised?" She says with a nervous look before pulling out a cigarette and lighting it to calm her nerves.
"No, but the chance of it being compromised soon enough is becoming more and more likely, so it's best you leave Elbaf and head westward to live at your previous location before coming here way back then." I say to her as my glasses give off an ominous glow to them.
"I…. Haaa, alright, I'll begin our preparations to leave from Elbaf when the Winter Solstice Fast ends, it will be very rude if we leave before that…." She says while taking a puff of her cigarette.
"Good, well that's all I came here to say, but I should be off, I have other places to be after all." I say as I stand up before heading to the exit, while she stays and sighs while she keeps smoking as she watches the children playing out back.
