Chapter 130: AWG: Plans for Pacifica
Twenty seven stories above ground in the middle of Corpo Plaza I looked down on the entirety of the City Center as I was contemplating my plans on what to do next.
"I, Shie Yamada(Hifumi 2), Have a dream…." I mutter to myself before turning over to my two adorable demon netrunners as they were wired into the net to help create my own personal Shell company that seems legitimate enough for me to possibly get me in contact with the City Council on a deal they orginally had been planning to ask KangTao to deal with but have met with silence so far as to whether they go through with that plan as a result.
Those two have been running the net all night while sneaking past the BlackWall and collecting Data on Rogue AI's to get there info and use that to make products that aren't currently possible to make in this world.
Normally Netwatch, the net police, would notice this and get our location before zeroing the runners involved for going past the BlackWall into highly illegal net territory as if the BlackWall breaks and Rogue AI's get into the net that everyone is connected to, it could spell the end of the world.
But the Black-ICE that we all have makes us completely invisible/unnoticeable to the Rogue AI's as they would see those two as nothing but normal sets of data that those AI's see all the time allowing them to freely download there data which in turn I can get from the shop at a much reduced price for the full product.
See there's a feature to the shop I didn't pay much attention to as it wasn't too useful and that is the 'Crafting Area' of the shop.
So long as I have the blueprint for something all I need to do is buy the materials necessary for building it and the shop will build that thing for me.
'So what? It can build things for you, big deal' Nononononono, you seem to not understand buying the components needed for something is much cheaper than buying the necessary product in full from the shop.
Here's a thing we were able to get a blueprint for the Militech's Mk. 2 Chimera Tank, something Militech never got to actually create as the AI needed for its creation went rogue during the major DataKrash of the 30's and 40's and because of the loss of that AI the blueprints for both the Mk. 1 and Mk. 2 were lost with only eight Mk. 1's ever being built with only the blueprint for the Mk. 2 being finished but never made as a result.
And without the central AI Core needed to make the Mk.2 it was never created as a result because of that.
If I bought it from the shop it would cost me 200,000,000 to make, but for all the materials needed to actually make it? Only 500,000Sp, that's even less than 1% of me buying it in full and with them I now have 10 of these bad boys sitting in my inventory, since it's a shop item and they can be kept in the infinite space that is my inventory as a result.
And it's not that but plenty of other things as well that we had gained in these 24 hours that Scanty and Kneesocks have been scouring the Net especially one thing I really loved.
I held up my hand as it slowly began to be coated in a black material that was stronger than titanium as it wrapped around my body, and no this isn't haki this is-
"Nanomachines Son! Haha! I always wanted to say that!" I laugh to myself as I look upon my fortified body with a grin.
"…. Florence? Is he okay?" Mikan asked seeming a bit worried about me since I was acting strange, well stranger than normal with me laughing to myself and all that."
"He seems ill to me Master, shall we administer treatment and find a cure for his lunacy?" Florence asks in a serious way with her deadpan stare.
"I can hear you, and no I'm not crazy I'm just excited as soon enough we will be rolling in money, and once the girls are done setting up my, currently fake but will become real, shell company and get in contact with the city council we can start my plans to take over Pacifica and make that district mine soon enough." I say with a smile as I walk over to them before sitting on the opposite couch from her as I grab a pot of coffee before pouring some for myself.
"…. Are a lot of people going to die Hif- I mean Shie?" She stutters but nonetheless says nervously.
I slowly nod before putting my cup down, "Yes, many people will die but I want to make it abundantly clear is that the people living in Pacifica are more than 3/4th of the time affiliated to a gang of some kind or has done some heinous crime or another to live there." I say while shaking my head.
"Pacifica is considered a live combat zone where it's killed or be killed, unless they're in DogTown there are no children living in Pacifica because of how brutal and savage that place is and DogTown is barely even better with the high fortified walls being the only thing of safety but both areas are no different from one another." I say with a sigh.
Once this starts I'll give time for the regular people to leave with a 24 hour notice, those who don't flee Pacifica will be considered hostile as I clean the area up of all of its people as by then that piece of land will be my property and them not listening will be seen as an act of aggression, whether intentional or otherwise, and I'll have the full authority to use Lethal force, and once they see the chimeras appear they will definitely start to run for their lives past the Pacifica line before the Chimeras will do anything as a result.
"Mikan I just want you to know, unless they get close to me or the other me you shouldn't care for them at all, all you need to remember is that since there not from our world you shouldn't worry about them, if I did this in our world I would understand you hating it but empathy and kindness are mostly foreign concepts to the people of this city and most of what remains of this world, only be kind to those you know and apathetic to those you don't." I go onto coax her so she stops thinking about it altogether.
"So all I want you to worry about is learning how to be the greatest ripperdoc in this world with all the info I provide you." I say before getting up and heading back over to my office as I notice Scanty and Kneesocks get off the Net.
"Is everything ready?" I ask before I take a seat at my desk as I look at them both.
"All data we would ever need has been extracted." (Scanty)
"And the shell company is fully operational and with legit paperwork making it look real to any of the casual observers but if people dig real deep they might find something off, but it's clear the Night City Council want to sell off Pacifica for cheap so we will soon get in contact with them to set up the deal." (Kneesocks)
"Good, once this is over Pacifica will become New Pacifica, no even better, we will make Paradise out of the old so that's what we will name it and that region will be mine to totally control before taking down Dogtown with extreme force." I say with a sneer as I look out towards the city once more.
Looks like it's time to make history here in the world of Cyberpunk!
