Calmness came back to the world, filling our every waking moment. Even my dreams were of a distinctly lovely sort. The danger had passed, and the dragon was slain, honor satisfied with a minimum of damage to anyone involved. Ellis was so proud.

All in all, one of the major benefits I got from the whole deal, was an even deeper insight into why it was that he did what he did. The thrill from winning so absolutely was unlike anything I’d ever felt.
