It was good to be in the air again. Above the ground with all its problems and threats. If there was a way to live full-time on a plane, or even a boat, way out on the ocean, I would probably take it.

Livy sat beside me, over by the window where it was safest, Luke as ever on the outside, ready to take action at a moment's notice.

Despite his calm outside, there are times when I got the clear indication that he was wound tighter than a seven-day clock on the inside. An internal pressure just waiting to get out. I knew about his history, at least what he was able to tell me without certain parties deploying a hit team to keep secrets from getting out.
