Chapter 213: Chapter 213: He Got the House

Olivia POV

The magpies sang outside the window. The tree outside the window, behind the heavy purple drapes, left open to let the light in, was still occupied, that late into the summer. The first chills of autumn were yet to arrive.

I was still aching a little from our erotic adventures the night before. His being willing to leave and go away with me made me want him so badly. Being around him made me happy.

Aside from a few times when I didn’t really want to think, I only felt a true desire to play when I was happy. What we did together at its best, was an expression of passion and joy.

Instinctively I reached out as I did at the coming of most dawns, not really expecting him to be there. I was used to him being gone already, which was bad in a different way. I couldn’t remember the last time I wanted to be wrong as much as then.
