Seconds passed, and Jacquelyn, as well as Iva, couldn't pick their dropped jaws. How could Kael reveal something so huge so casually? Iva was his sister, and the young man who had been helping Doom all this while was his brother.

Jacquelyn nodded; Kael was right. Her family wasn't number one... they were nowhere near Kael's twisted family. She moved her eyes away from her husband and settled on the shocked face of Iva.

"T-the what?" Iva asked, pointing at Kael and then Rune. "I am what?" She raised her hand and shook her head.

Rune took a step forward but didn't get close to Iva. "Iva... I can explain it all. You were still a child when everything happened. There was no way you could have remembered, but our eldest brother here decided it was right to keep it away from you."

"Why?" Jacquelyn heard herself asking Kael. "Why didn't you tell her?"
