Chapter 139: Vision of Noxtis

Hearing the uncertain male voice, a voice Gwinvere didn't recognize but still struck a cord deep within her heart and soul. Her body trembled in veritable joy at finally hearing the voice of her beloved child, the only shred of hope she had left in her body that kept her living through her despair. Large drops of tears beaded up in her eyes. Even though the years they had been separated was not a very long time for a being of her power, every moment without her loved ones in her arms was painful. Her time waiting was especially painful when she was captured in that awful place.

Sending a mental signal to the shadow, Gwinvere hoped for her to be able to make a connection and finally have a conversation with her long-lost son.

Bristling like a scared cat, the shadowy soul shifted around as if looking to see what had talked to it. Even without eyes, as soon as it 'noticed' Gwinvere, the soul shrank into a much smaller ball and attempted to escape.
