Chapter 33: Chapter 33 Little Five Agony_1

Huang An entered the courtyard. Uncle Li was still asleep, but a young boy was busy stoking fire and preparing medicine.

His name was Little Five; he and Huang An weren't close but they could converse a bit.

Huang An noticed him crouching by the stove, stoking the fire while tossing something in the embers with a pair of iron tongs. It seemed like he was roasting something.

"Little Five!"

Huang An called him. Startled, Little Five turned around, only relaxing after seeing Huang An. He rolled his eyes.

"Brother Huang, you always scare people!"

After a quick reply, he resumed his prior task.

"The revitalizing soup needs more time, but it will be ready soon,"

After saying it, he stood up, smirked at Huang An, and continued:

"However, Master Zhao went to the city lord's mansion last night and brought back a jar of rejuvenating soup for Junior Brother Huang. It was left here last night. Hold on, Brother Huang, let me get it for you."
