Crucible Aeternum: Ascending through Skill Trees

A rain of meteors heralded a new age for the world, changing the very essence of everything. As the world shifted to using this new mineral resource to reestablish civilisation, they fall even deeper into an abyss that they have no knowledge of.

Amidst it all, a man who carries both the cancer of the world and the blessing of the universe within him awakens to a power unlike anything the world had ever seen. Will he be the beacon that unites the world or will he be the arbiter that sentences it to doom?

The Crucible burns ever fiercer, continuing unabated in its Eternal purpose.

This story was inspired by games like Path of Exile, Arknights, and the Trails series. (Any characters with similar design or names to characters in these games do not necessarily mirror them.)

MC's power is a skill tree system that will try to replicate the skill trees of games like Path of Exile, Last Epoch, etc. It won't be exactly the same, but it will grow into something similar. It will not be as complicated as the skill gem system right away, but the story would develop into something similar in the long run.
