Chapter 228: Marry Him Only

"Imperial Mother, have you called for me?" Amber bowed her head with respect as she walked into the room where Gabi was sitting alone with a portrait in her hands of all the kids where she and another queen were standing in the middle.

Gabi was between Leo and Alex.

"Yes, I was looking at the old portraits while finishing my necklace. Do you want to see this one." she pointed at her, who was holding the dress of her mother and looking very nervous.

"I always felt that you are too anxious among us." Gabi sighed as she touched her face softly, "Was I wrong Amber? Had I made the wrong decision while asking you to be the first concubine of Alex?" her eyes looked dim and her voice cracked.

Amber felt a tinge of guilt in her heart. This woman.. She had done more than her mother for her. Always making sure that she would not be upset about her blood or position.

  But.. she bowed her head further. The eyes of Gabi turned colder but she missed seeing them.
