"Is it an order?" he asked in a gloomy voice as he finally raised his head and stared at his father.

The father, who was once closest to him but now he did not even recognize him anymore.

He felt disgusted just by looking at him when he looked away. His face was still indifferent but his eyes were cold and invisible walls had formed around him.

Charles felt the subtle difference and it infuriated him but he took a deep breath and smiled.

"No! It is a suggestion. Or I am fine with explaining you right now too." he waved his hands as if asking him to start explaining what he wanted to say.

He had not called him to discuss official matters in the first place. When he heard that Alex had returned to the palace, he was joyous and wanted to meet him that instant.

But who would have thought! He laughed wryly. When his son was not giving him trouble? it was just another one.
