"So your mom scolded you for feeling bad for my mother?"

Alex nodded wearily. She adjusted her seat and leaned back against the headboard, making sure that her face was still on the camera. Yeah, as usual, Adrian's 'illness' returned, so they made a video call even though the guy was still in his apartment. "Not really nagging. She was just reminding me that you're a businessman and not an artist."

Adrian chuckled, bringing the image out of focus. "My mom also scolded me this afternoon. She shouted loudly, "Adrian Callum Herrera, do you know what you've done?!" I can't even imagine what my mom's face looked like at that time."

Alex shriveled up. "Is your mom mad at me?"
