Chapter 2: Wisteria Cleirigh

Under a cloudy night there was a girl who just got in front of a huge gate, an entrace into the mansion. As the gates were opened for her by the guards she smiled at them as gratitude, she walkthrough the pathway but stops...

For the fragrance of the wind, she remembered how it long it has been since she came with her parents away from here for some reason. It's been a long time since the last time I came here 12 years.. Thoughts of a girl standing in a pathway front of a mansion, she smiled...

but it was a sad smile made by the memories running from her head.

She closed her eyes and smelt the cold breeze to relax herself.

Brings back memories with Mama and Papa, if they hadn't died in an accident they're still with me now... She thought not giving to her tears, she wore this smile as she walked slowly in the door of the mansion.

At the moment she grabbed the knob and turned it, a crowd was waiting for her.

"Lady Wisteria, welcome home!" the maids and butlers warmly greeted her.

"Indeed, I'm home.. I missed you all." she answered on her gentlest tone and smiled then offered a hug to the nearest maid to her and she gave a great warm hug.

"Our young lady is now standing on her adolescence, such fine and beautiful" said by the maid who has white hairs on her ebony colored hair, already wrinkles and had this cheerful eyes next to the first one, Wisteria chuckled.

She hugged the maid."I'm flattered Ms.Lourdes, ah it's been a long time since the last time I've been here" Wisteria said when someone from behind her slightly pulled her sleeve. When she turned she saw black polished hair man with forest colored eyes, slightly edged jaws and has this fair skin, a big smile showed on her face and jumped on him.

"Samuel!" her small voice prevents her to have a loud excited squeal but have him a tight hug when she pulled away and examined him.

She realised what he is wearing that's when Samuel bowed to her.

"Samuel Fernsby, butler at your service" then he glanced up on her smiling.

"Looking good Samuel before we're only children and scared just being in this mansion" the crowd laughed as his face turned red.

"That was way before! Besides it's my turn to stand up for you" he protested then grabbed Wisteria's hand, kissing it.

"I'll return a favor and as the one of the loyal families of Fernsby to Cleirigh house" he rendered.

"To Miss Wisteria Cleirigh!" Ms. Lourdes declared happily as she passes a glass of wine to Wisteria.

"To House of Cleirigh!" Wisteria said and raised her glass of wine and the crowd cheered for the arrival of their young master Wisteria.

While toasting she could see someone who is in sorrow, his fox-like eyes was staring right at her but immedietly shifted his away his handsome face when he notice she was looking at him and walked away. She wondered why but this faded when everyone in the hall came near her and greeted her.

After the celebration, the servants of Cleirigh family arranged Wisteria's things as she is accompanied by Samuel her personal butler to look around her mansion.

"Do you remember how we ran yo this hallways when we were still young?" Samuel asked with a smile on his face, Wisteria's heart rejoiced just upon seeing him and her childhood friend.

On Wisteria's mind past flashed on her head then chuckled.

"Yea, I remembered how you broke the expensive vases here and I lied just to save you for your mistakes" Wisteria smirked.

Instantly, Samuel felt shame on his mistakes and grateful for how heroine Wisteria is.

"I'm sorry that you were the one got scolded and not me" Samuel scratched his neck.

"It's because I don't want your family to be suspended to Cleirigh's house, I'll be sad without you here do you want that?" Wisteria muttered and stopped from walking.

"Of course not! That's why I'm grateful and loyal to you only, you were already brave even just a little one" he rebelled and looked back at his master. Examining each other seeing how they changed for the long time not seeing each other.

Silence broke when Wisteria chuckled, this made Samule gave his master a gentle hug and she was to his actions but she knew he only misses her.

"Come you have to eat early so you could have rest" Samuel pulled away from the hug and continued walking.

As they walked around the mansion she is feeling the atmosphere around it is getting heavier yet she chooses to shut her mouth and pretending to be alright.

The halls were all the same since the childhood. At day our place looked like paradise when it comes at night for me it looks like a haunted house but I see as it's own beauty then this atmosphere just destroys it for me... She thought.

Until she remembered, somewhere on the garden there is a small house that she never been able to enter for it's forbidden for her.

"Hey Samuel," she started while walking on her heels

"Yes? Miss Wisteria?" He looked at her ready for answering any of her question.

"Do you remember the small cabin at the garden, the one that I not allowed to enter?" Samuel quickly removed his gaze on Wisteria and suddenly had this unreadable expression.

"Young Miss, let's talk about this thing in the morning and your food might get cold" he said and looks like avoiding the topic.

Hmm.. It's the first time he called me like that and never called me like that.. Wisteria thought while staring at him.

Sudden changes on Samuel makes Wisteria confused. She followed Samuel to the Dinner and opened the door for her.

Inside the dinner there is a long table and chairs enough for 20 people. The walls and ceiling still standing up for its fashion, baroque design. Her gaze continued to move as she walked, she stopped for a moment when Wisteria saw her reflection on the midway of the other side of the table.

She saw a small bodied girl staring back at her with a blank expression, she also have this small pointed nose, had paled skin, feathery thin brown hair on the right side of her head is braided preventing all of her bangs cover her eyes, lilac colored eyes that reminds people the flowers vines- her name Wisteria. Many people admired her extraordinary beauty and some called or considered her as cute to be someome to be protected but she changed after an incident, her eyes shines so dull that you can easily define her past but her small smile could easily hide her scars.

I still look small and weak... She thought

"Miss Wisteria are you okay?" she saw Samuel her through their reflections who just asked from behind and grabbed her shoulder.

Wisteria tapped his hands above her shoulder and gave him a timid smile "Yes, I'm fine" then Samuel removed his hand and they continued to walked to the other end of the table.

Samuel offered the chair for Wisteria to sit on and gently pushed the chair at the same moment the other maids opened the meals that just had put on the table.

There several kinds of meal just for luxurious people.

Then the maids started serving the meals into her plate whatever she points to.

"Why don't you come eat with me? My parents aren't here so it'll be lonely if I eat alone" Wisteria offers the buttlers and maids to join her meal.

Samuel sighs.

"I'm sorry you know we can't" Samuel said sounding despondent.

Wisteria grabbed her untensils and said....

"Don't worry, It's my fault for expecting.." she said with a down tone.

Wisteria known herself that she doesn't see them as servants but as equals they just don't, for they sworn that they're only servants and serve highly to Royal Cleirigh Family.

After taking few bites from the plate she stood up.

"Excuse me please, I'm going to head to my room now" she said moving away from the chair.

"I'll take you to your room Miss Wisteria" Samuel offered but she raised my hand.

"Thank you but I can walk alone you all can have your rest now" she said in her usual low timid voice with authorization to the people around her while walking pass through them.

She wanted to get out of their sight as soon as possible for she isn't comfortable for their different meaning gazes upon her. Reaching the door but she was suprised when it suddenly and swiftly opened.

Their eyes met again, making Wisteria feel something unfamiliar, their gaze just locked it was like Wisteria was lifted from a curse by just looking at him when..

"You're blocking the way Riguel" Samuel on the inside shouted.

Riguel slowly removed his gaze on Wisteria, opened the door amd stepping aside to make way for her.

"I'm sorry La-.. Miss Wisteria" he said holding his head high while looking away from her.

Wisteria smiled.

"Good night" she said to the guy and walked away towards her room, once she reached it and grasped her door, remembering things when she was still a child with her parents.

and standing there now makes her the Head of the Cleirigh family..

I miss you guys... she thought as she not trying to cry.
