Chapter 13: Lost Archer

The night began to fade, the tinge of light increasingly visible.

Alice hurriedly rode her bicycle, she went to the set, where Archer worked.

"Still far right?" she muttered. Then Alice stopped the speed of the bicycle being ridden.

She double-checked the address Bella had sent him last night.

"Oh, just a little more, I just need to get into the luxury estate over there!" she said as she tucked her phone in her pocket and started pedaling again.

5 minutes had passed and Alice had arrived at Archer's workplace.

Alice seemed awkward to ask, especially since she didn't know Archer's friends.

Slowly, Alice approached a director who handled the project of making this film.

"Hello, sorry, sir, to interrupt for a moment," Alice greeted with her trademark smile.

"Eh, hello too, can I help you?" asked the Director.

"Mr, I'm looking for a man named Archer, is he here?"

"What, Cameraman Archer, you mean?"

"That's right, sir,"

"Oh!" The Director looked surprised with a slightly annoyed face.

"Sorry, is something wrong?" Alice looked confused at the Director.

Then the middle-aged man with brownish-white hair shook his head.

"Look, Miss, Mr. Archer, hasn't come home from last night, and our crew has also looked for him many times and contacted him by phone, but unfortunately the number is no longer active," explained the Director.

"Really, but I also came here at the request of his wife, sir. Archer's wife also claimed to have lost contact with her husband since last night. And after receiving a strange message," Alice explained.

"Wait, Miss. What do you mean strange?"

"Here, sir," Alice also handed a message from Bella along with a screenshot of Bella's cellphone.

The director looked surprised, he felt strange about Archer's departure. At first, he was annoyed with Archer's completely irresponsible attitude.

Because Archer arbitrarily left and didn't come back to carry out his duties as a Cameraman.

And while Alice was chatting with the Director, suddenly a man younger than the Director appeared.

Allegedly he was a close friend of Archer.

"Excuse me, what's your name, Alice?" the man asked.

"Yes I am, Alice, sir,"

Then the man handed Alice a piece of paper.

"Miss, I found this paper in Archer's coat pocket, I thought if Archer went to see you last night," he explained.

Alice read the writing on the letter, and it wasn't hers.

But there was the name ''Alice'' in the letter as a sign that she sent it.

"Mr, but I did not write this letter!" Alice insisted.

"If not Miss, wrote it then who?"

"I also do not know?" Alice shook her head in confusion.

"Maybe later we can discuss again, Mis. And now it's time for us to continue shooting again," said the director.

Alice was also forced to stop asking them. She didn't want to interfere with their work.

"Okay, sir. Thanks for the help," said Alice, nodding her head.

"Okay Miss, we promise to let you know, if there is new information about Archer," explained the Director. And the man gave his business card to Alice.

"We give each other information, if you get info about Archer, then don't forget to tell us too, contact me via the number on the business card," explained the director.

"Yes, Sir,"

Alice finally came home empty-handed, she didn't know Archer's whereabouts yet.

And what confused her was who confessed and wrote a letter to Archer.

This felt strange, suddenly Alice's mind also became restless, she was afraid that Archer was in danger, even though Archer was an annoying figure in her eyes, but she still didn't want anything bad to happen to her brother-in-law. She felt sorry for Bella and her two children.

"Oh my God, what should I talk to, Bella?" she spoke while thinking of a way out to find Archer.

Then she remembered the cake in the paper bag Archer had given her.

At that time Archer entrusted Sea.

Alice started to wonder if it might be Sea, who had written the letter and given it to Archer.

'Is it true that Sea wrote the letter?'

'But for what?'

Once again Alice's suspicions crept into her mind.

'Is Sea, also hiding, Livy?'

Although still hesitating, Alice quickly pedaled her bicycle, so she could get to her house as soon as possible and ask Sea.

Meanwhile, at his house, Sea was busy tidying up the fruits he had just bought from the supermarket.

"I'm sure you'll like the fresh fruits I just bought," she said with a confident smile.

And in the basement.

Archer had just woken up from his stupor, he looked confused by his current whereabouts.

"Why am I here?" he says.

He looked around and found that there were several dry corpses dressed like living humans.

Archer was still confused about whether the corpse was real or just a fake corpse that was used to scare him.

But when he saw the corpse sitting directly behind him did Archer believe that the drained corpse was a real corpse.

He see several bruises on the woman's face, it turned out to be the body of Livy Jones, a mute girl who disappeared a few days ago.

Archer also saw leaflets hanging in corners of London.

Leaflets about missing people, and the woman in the photo closely resembles the corpse of the woman currently behind her.

Immediately Archer felt very frightened, he realized that his life was now in danger.

"Who did this to me? Why are my hands and feet tied too?!" said Archer frantically.

Archer briefly recalled the events before he woke up in this place.

Last night he was going to see Alice, and Sea instead told him to stop by her house.

After that, he didn't remember anything anymore.

"So that woman locked me in this place?" she says.

'Tuk! Tuk! Tuk!'

There was the sound of footsteps coming down the stairs.

'Ceklek!' The sound of a light switch being turned on.

Then a young woman smiled at him.

"Good morning, Mister Archer," said Sea pleasantly.

"You!" Archer's pupils widened, "What's your purpose in keeping me here?!" asked Archer in a high-pitched voice.

Sea still looked relaxed even though Archer had shouted at her.

"Patience, sir. Anger is not good for health," said Sea with a cynical grin.
