"We… we already did! Someone can already hear you from the other line, I believe they are just waiting for the MECK General!"

"Oh… so, they can hear me, eh?"

It was weird, extremely so. The two pilots did not notice it at first, but Lucian was not only completely talking to them like an actual person, but he was talking to them through the headset so that they would be able to hear him properly.

It was already reported to everyone who should know that Lucian was a highly intelligent kaiju. But of course, none of them actually believed all of that, even when they already saw videos of him and recordings of him talking. After all, Lucian might have just been mimicking words and the actions of the humans he was watching — and those kinds of kaiju were a dime in a dozen.
